My husband, and some of my kids, as well! I just found out that one of my kids, who just finished her junior year of HS, deleted TikTok from her phone in April, bc she was spending too much time on it. That is why she wasn't "on top" of everything going on with the trial. And my husband didn't care much, and only heard the daily updates from the news on the 10 min drive to work. I, myself, have never had a Facebook acct. It IS possible to block out the world, especially what is "trending" online. I commend the jurors for a job well done!

Tbh i live pretty distanced from Hollywood news and stuff. I didn't know much about this case beside her siding with the me too movement, that until 2years ago the recording of her saying "tell the world Johnny" came out. I am not a Depp's fan, seen a couple of movies that's all. And as a former DV surviver that made it through psychological, physical, emotional abuse of a Narcissist mother and grandmother, i had all the inclination to side with her. Yet when i heard the recording i suspected she was the abuser. I haven't even seen any of her movies so i didn't know what to expect so i decided to watch the trial and form a fair judgment for such a topic that is so close to my heart. Not only for my proper experience, but for my grandfather who suffered his wife's abuse. Calling her a grandma is an offense to all grandmas. I watched the trial; her movement, words, attitude, fakeness, all expose her. I build empathy quite quickly, i never managed to find a likable thing in her. And the worst is when she tried to get sympathy using the microwaved baby threat, using her own child as a weapon to throw a blow. Flashback to my childhood when my mom used to do this. It's terrible. She says she speaks in our name, she has no idea what being abused is.
