I personally find be prepared, lady Tremaine, and dragon to be difficult to deal with in the purple/red matchup simply because one mistake/misplay will cost amber steel the game whereas they can pretty much autopilot and a make a few mistakes and still get the win, but I guess I just need to get gud. Also if you don’t find flute early it is tough as well since purple often racks up early lore and has a strong control package and goat to close game. Great video and thanks so much for posting! Absolutely loving these videos, the coverage is great, the explanation of the plays is incredibly helpful. Would it be possible to have more than 1 song for the background music? With the amount of times I've watched and re-watched your videos to better understand a deck, I think I have that song permanently burrowed into my brain 😅

How are there people out there still not playing this version of Amber Steel? As a ruby amethyst control player, i can confirm the matchup is pretty bad for us. It's at least favored towards the flute deck by around 60%, potentially more. The problem is that ruby amethyst has absolutely no way to interact with items, except trying to race them. The matchup is tricky because we know we have to try to race, but we also have to try to slow you down as well. Even when we eo try to race, our cards to race are simply inferior due to the flute deck being able to answer most cards in our deck fairly easily. Spellbook gets destroyed by Benja, and most of our creatures that can race only have 3 or 4 toughness and get picked off easily. It's just a tough matchup man. So far, I've never won a match against the flute deck. I've won games, but never an entire match. Though i do think that this deck might require a decently high play skill to play. Sometimes the mulligans and lines can be tricky until you get experienced with the deck
