Outta sight!!!!!! These producers saw the potential of a genre that was only just birthing. Little did they know that the birth was gonna be a multiple birth wid so many smooth jazz hands (no pun intended) at work! I believe the children of the children are even more adept and technologies have excelled to a different timezone, innerzone outtazone, OUTTA SIGHT MAAAAAAN! Now where did I put those skins? 🙄

If past trends teach us anything, 90s nostalgia will explode in the 2020s. If whatever comes next is even half as popular as synthwave has been for the past couple years, we can expect a great resurgence of 90s sounds like this in the near future.

I love this genre... it has everything for me... exciting yet serene. Classic yet futuristic, smooth and intense. Like ridge racer in real life, I love driving to this stuff... actually a little sad when I get to my destination.... got a playlist of this stuff on my sd/phone that I keep adding to. The radio is not cool enough to play anything of the sort. These people were just on a whole nother level in the 90s.

Can you believe that-whilst i was listening to electronic music in the 90s as a teenager (going to raves and all)-for some reason i was never into drum n bass and jungle. It is only lately that i've started listening to modern d n b playlists (like liquid d n b etc.)mainly for chill and productive work. Now that i've discovered the 90s stuff i can only say wow, this thing has a soul, rawness and direct-ness that a lot of modern stuff is missing. Love it, thanks for re-introducing me to 90s drum'n'bass mate, your channel needs more views.

It's a shame because the rave scene and pirate radio movement were two great institutions of this sound. Although you missed out it must be pretty cool discovering new beats and sounds. Good music is good music. I guess with the diversity within DNB you have so much to choose from and there's different years from the past to also explore.
@PKSkyler

i was in a similar vein. i was listening to rave and dnb and such back when i was a kid in the early 2000s. but by this time the electronic scene was slowly turning into the edm scene. by the time i was a teenager, all the "raves" played generic traditional edm and dubstep and stuff. nothing cool like this or old school rave/hardcore music.

Never heard of DnB before finding this channel. I had no idea this was its own genre of music. I'd heard it a couple times prior to discovering what's currently my favorite DnB album, Inner-Vation's Movements, but only in the last month or two have I been actively listening to this stuff. It's very interesting; given my interest in vaporwave the last half-year I'm surprised I didn't make the jump to this sooner. Thanks for the uploads; I never would have discovered this neat genre and that it's oddly calming and productivity-inducing!

I was born in November, 2000, but I prefer 90's atmosphere to mid/late 00's, maybe it's because of memories of my earliest childhood in early 2000's. You know, that insane fusion of late 90's and early 00's is very aesthetic, I can't even describe this feeling, I guess you can understand me. The whole culture was very peculiar and distinctive, we will never witness something like that (even tho nowadays young people trying to rethink this culture, it's not even close, but that's just my opinion). Like, you know, that cold blueish/greenish/metallic tint on everything, futuristic technologies, etc. Even in music, this thumbnail catches my eye, I clicked on this video and God this is really good music. Reminds me of something that my mom used to listen when I was a child and this considered as something fresh. Great, sad and happy feeling at the same time my friend. And you know what, even we're too young to have witnessed the '90s, we still experienced its echoes, so it's legit. Yeah.

That tune was and still is I M M E N S E !!! Can you believed it was first released in 1995. I remember hearing live at Jungle Fever rave then the taping a week later off of pirate radio. I used to play that tune over and over again I mashed up the tape. Then I bought it on vinyl which I cherish until this very day. A masterpiece!!

The Metalheadz label and their nights were immense. They had so many talented producers on their label, from Wax Doctor, Doc Scott, Hidden Agenda, Alex Reece and Kemistry (RIP). Big up the hoodie crew. You know the metalheadz emblem was inspired by Wolves football club logo hahaha. That's the honest truth. Big up!!

I was too young to go to the AWOL nights, but I heard they were legendary and I lived out the early Jungle club scene by listening to the Kiss 100 jungle show with DJ Randall, DJ Hype, Kenny Ken, Jumping Jack Frost etc. First proper club nights for me were Mass in Brixton and some of my best memories are from The End in Holborn. I absolutely loved that club. Best sound system in the UK and cost a fortune but Mr. C from the Shamen knew what it needed. Anyway, yeah Metalheadz was the label...Wasn't much of a fan of Goldie, but Alex Reece, Peshay, Doc Scott, J Majik - Your Sound...Too many to mention and remember as I'm 42 now :( Good time to be alive.

I love this laid back style of DnB. also, how did this come out in '96?? I didn't hear about Drum and Bass until the 00's! media distribution was complete crap, back then, if I missed out on almost an entire decade of music. I am so glad for distribution channels like KZfaq, digging up old classics and serving them hot and fresh
