I was there in 1961 to 1964 with the Navy Operation Deepfreeze supporting sciences. It was an amazing experience. Flew in a C47 to areas never seen before. Beautiful. Gods handwork. Sadly we lost 8 men when a P2V crashed. A c47 also crashed and praise God no one died. Each year during the 6 months of summer, the sun never went down. A experience I'll never forget.

Thank you! Yes it’s difficult to describe Antarctica in words. These sequences were filmed over the three years before Covid on six different assignments ❄️

The whales were awesome and that big spray on them haaaa, thats one amazing close experience I always get sad when I see these free ones living their life compared to the ones at Sea World, love the penguin baby close ups, and seal curly whiskers, amazing views of the bergs.

Its amazing how a video like this can take you on a journey to discover yourself and think about the world we live in. Everything is meant to be. For some reason, i have always connected with water, snow and ice. There is something beautiful here. Its so quiet and peaceful like snow falling from the sky and it can get cold, strong and harsh like ice during winter. Thank you for sharing your talent with us Richard Sidey ! Much love ! Totally. The air is so clear in Antarctica that you do see crispness like this. Mountain ranges can be 50 miles away yet look so clear and close that scale becomes lost.

Hi Richard, this is superb, I am smitten with the continent and hope to visit one day in the near future. The immensity of Antartica is mind blowing along with it's other wordly vistas and awesome icebergs. I only hope for a blue whale sighting whilst down there, that would top it off. The music for this is amazing, is it available to purchase anywhere? The music is very reminiscent of AWVFTS. Anyone else reading this follow through to the end whole thing is so worth it.

You need a commercial purpose, and then it depends on which countries rules and regulations you’re operating on (if you’re on a ship then it’s whom is operating it).
