This is a manually constructed virtual sound environment using 3D spatial audio techniques.
When sound has been recorded as standard stereo audio, it loses all the information your brain uses to tell you where the sound is coming from. Spatial audio simulation allows us to regain a lot of this information. In this ambience, I have attempted to process, mix and position audio all around you using spatial audio technology to create a more immersive rain experience.

HRTF is a technology used to emulate spatial audio by attempting to mimic the acoustics of human hearing. It has been most widely adopted to allow games to portray accurate positional audio. It is now being used to enrich movie and music experiences via standards like Dolby Atmos.

This is my Taking Shelter From a Severe Storm ambience, but with no thunder for those who don't like the loud rumbling sounds of thunder. You're taking shelter from an intense storm in a small metal shack. Gale force winds rattle the tin panels around you, immense rain drowns out almost everything you can hear.

I love your channel. I am hoping you could add thunder and lightning to this one. I apologize for being greedy. I do think you could make a fantastic video with the works. I love extreme weather. 8D isn't a real thing, it essentially means a binaural audio emulation of a sound source moving around you. The same technology is used here, but for many different sounds instead of one; so you're surrounded by sound as opposed to having one prevalent sound source.
