We've been lucky to be able to enjoy the National Forests in Colorado but we find such destruction and abuse while were hiking around. The Ambulance Conversion Life is a beautiful life filled with amazing scenery... mostly.

My name is David and with my dog Lefty we live full time in our converted ambulance RV. I made this change to my 'standard' life and you can too! Like, subscribe and comment - Lefty would appreciate it - he wants the adventures to keep coming!
The Campulance is a 2002 Ford E450 Marque Commando 164 Class III ambulance powered by the Ford 7.3l Powerstroke diesel engine and a 4 speed transmission. Lefty is a 65lb Staffordshire Terrier (best I can tell) that came from the Verona Street Animal Shelter in March 2014 at the age of 9 months. We have been living full time in the campulance since July 2019.

I was raised in Utah. Camping, fishing, hunting and enjoying the great outdoors was a big part of going up here. From an early age my elders taught me, pack it in pack it out. So simple. It's all about respect, respect for who you are, who others are and most of all, respect for this planet. I will climb down off my soap box now. One more thing before I go. Mother Nature is telling us now, quite loudly how she isn't happy with how we treat her.

I just wish everybody took that sort of outlook. I hear you can see "the Great Pacific garbage patch" from space. It totally breaks my heart to know that so many people don't care. We are killing the oceans. If they die, we aren't far behind. All we can do is our part, one piece at a time.😰

It's easy. Go camping, pick up trash. The Campulance man probably did, but he isn't a virtue signal guy so he didn't make a huge thing of it. I dig that in a person. As Californians flee the state they've destroyed, they spread trash across the west with them. Old habits die hard. They talk big about environment, but they're high % littering scumbags.

Hello friend, When our kids were still little, we camp quite a bit. From tenting to RV camping. Just like what you said and showing on video, we have had run ins with rowdy campers. They were loud, obnoxious, drunk and includes just peeing all over the place. We did call the Park Rangers and they came in with a bang and they end up calling the sheriff’s office for a back up. Some people just don’t have any regards what so ever. Having said that, my wife and I are retired now and our kids are now responsible for outdoor gathering, camping, boating etc. My wife and I are just tagging along and having a good time. Take care and always be safe. Retired from Pahrump NV.

No.. Glass does not break down. A couple of months ago we were doing some work on our hill and Larry dug up an intact Fluffy White bleach bottle stamped 1949.. A week or two later he went down the hill with his son and they found more bottles and he said that whole area was littered with broken bottles and glass. We bought the lot in 2015. According to the neighbor across the street his uncle lived on the property from the 1940's til 1964 and his little house was torn down in 1969. Our hill is wooded, wet and treacherous. I have only been down to the bottom of our lot, twice. We have often picked up pieces of glass in the yard that have worked their way out of the dirt.

Sometimes when I am camping, I leave others' big garbage and instead spend some time with a dust broom and dust pan picking up tiny stuff, because I don't have room for large garbage in my van, and know no one will take the time to pick up glass piles and bullet casings. Those are small things I can fit in a small bag. Garbage is bad, but less than 10 days ago, hubby and I put out a full blown fire campers drove off and abandoned in a free disbursed campground in TN. When you leave the area would you let us know where it was you stayed? I may have commented in one of your previous videos, but people are rapidly ruining our natural resources. I've seen an exponential increase in trash, garbage, etc. left behind since I first camped in the mountains of Colorado fifty years ago. Back then mountain streams were clean enough to drink from. Today, no way without boiling first. Fifty years ago I learned to leave a camp site in as good if hot better condition then it was found. The message didn't spread like it should have. We hauled out all trash we could not burn and left our fire pits clean. Often we would scatter the fire pit rocks and brush the ground (yeah, maybe overkill).

Rules of a hike, or, getting back to nature camp. If you brought it, track/truck it out with you... and, should you see anything else you see out with you. I’m also talking don’t leave cherry pits, or any food items you’ve been eating. Pick it up, take it with you. Also, dig a hole to do your “business” in. Toilet paper no business floating in air.

The whole idea of National Parks, Forests, Monuments, etc., and their state, county, and municipal counterparts is to establish and leave a legacy for those who will follow in our footsteps. There is a segment of the animal kingdom that is not only oblivious to the concept of civilization, they are hostile to it in a chaotic, yet consistent way. They want to tear EVERYTHING down in the name of “social justice”. To them, if someone has something nice, it must be destroyed at all costs. It doesn’t matter if it belongs to everyone, they want to make it unavailable to anyone. They have a sick and twisted hatred for anything organized, whether it’s government, corporations, educational institutions, youth groups, etc. They’re jealous of anyone enjoying anything and will do whatever they can to destroy it. They are bullies and terrorists, plain and simple, who will set out to destroy your life if you even look like you might report them. They’re banking on people being afraid to push back in any way to interfere with their intentionally careless, morally bankrupt behavior. It’s evil incarnate and must be stopped in its tracks at every turn.

wow that's messed up as wrestling announcer jim ross said one time on tv: yea i know people sometimes their pretty stupid, i hate people that act like that cussing and whatever (as i said a few months back iv'e called the cops on the neighbor next door hear at my apt but they can't do much it's overwhelming) their always fighting/ arguing almost every night) i still hope to move out but due to covid no one really has their offices open im sorry they left the campsite a mess come on people clean up your mess that's all (you should watch campervan kevin's channel) he had that happen as well a few months ago he thought one of his 3 dogs stepped in glass because of bad campers in az, they also marked a tree he told park rangers about it they have them on file so if they try and come back they won't be allowed back, and last yea you talked about it more than once saying you needed a insulated bag of some sort because your drinks and stuff got warm and nasty, i agree i hate drinking cold drinks warm it taste like dry milk then i have to throw it away so i thought: i should send him one from my job (marshallas) but then your like we got a package my daughter will open...im like ah ok he already got one yea those mini bags are cool a friend gave me a small sf giants baseball one in 2017 when i worked at one of the fairs here in the area that summer it really helped keep my food nice and cold !! p.s. i didn't know lefty enjoys chewing up cardboard boxes haha that's right lefty get that box good dog.

Freeze it at time stamp 11:01 & look about ½ way between right edge & center frame, about a foot above Lefties hips.. What is that creepy looking black thing? Looks like you can see a shiny nose with an opened bottom jaw next to that small tree, then maybe some branches or brush over a muzzle (the white & grey spots), then a faint set of dark eyes, and finally, the pointy ears on top.. All in black except for the possibly brown eyes, & whitish teeth of the lower jaw.. Does anyone else see that? That's right where Lefty was just staring into the forest seconds prior... Maybe it's paradiglia, maybe not.. What State are you in Cappy? Oh, & don't forget the dangers of glass & our sweet innocent children.. How many little feet have been sliced open out there? Not many people would think they need to be careful of glass shards until they've seen the enormity of "wild acreage" that's adorned with it.. Pets, yes, but children too...
