The war in South Sudan began in murky circumstances in mid-December, when tribal factions within the country's army, the SPLA, began fighting each other in the center of the capital, Juba. The SPLA quickly fractured into two camps: an insurgency drawn from members of former vice president Riek Machar's Nuer tribe and troops who remained loyal to President Salva Kiir, of the Dinka tribe. Both sides have been accused of committing gross human rights abuses during the conflict. VICE News arrived in Juba and found the army desperate to dispel rumors that rebels were advancing on the capital. Soldiers were keen to take our correspondents on a trip with them into the bush to recapture the strategic city of Bor from the rebels... only the raid didn't turn out quite as they had expected.

That senior government official who was killed there was my uncle. Imagine he was in Kenya for treatment when war broke out in December. 3 days later, he got a call from government to come and resume his duty and that’s how we lost him in that reckless fight. He was a breadwinner not only to his family but to the whole community at large. Since that day, we are all experiencing his absence everyday. Me and some other cousins drop out from school since we were not able to afford our school fee. It’s so sad to see our people being blindfolded to fights each other just because of INDIVIDUALs’ INTEREST.💔

Also it's really hilarious that you think you're superior because you "wish and pray" for the victims, like jesus fucking christ at least the ones viewing a documentary is more in touch with reality and expands their insights into conflicts around the globe.

I worked and lived with 2 men from Sudan. One was from the north, and one was from the south. One was a devout Muslim, the other a catholic with tribal beliefs and decorative scars on his face. These two men never fought. They said the fighting was always instigated by others and that most Sudanese hated the fighting. I asked if they missed their homeland and if they ever wanted to go back, even just to visit. They said they had no desire to return at that point. They would return when kids stopped carrying AK47s and the fighting had stopped. Sadly, they fear that this won't happen in their life time.

The UN UK AND US .have their stink all over this and all these other conflicts all over the world. There aren't rebels they are people with crappy small arms trying to keep the UN OUT. But they don't even know the names of the enemy. just like the war on drugs and poverty whey it's the government that is creating both.

BIONIK DIKK You are right about this but; I can smell propaganda and deception. pretty well. I listened to Obama's address to the UN concerning AGENDA 21 oher wise known as SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. When I add all the pieces of the puzzle together I know all these civil wars were planned and prompted by UK UN and US. In is speech he reaffirmed the commitment of this nation to lead the way into a era of Sustainable development on a GLOBAL SCALE. He specifically targeted Africa and the diseases and civil wars. WELL HIS/ THE UN's means of correction is EUGENICS. What do you think about that?
