Hey man, curious if you know the difference between Dolby and AMC Prime? I’ve been to Dolby but there aren’t and AMC Primes near me but I’ve heard that a lot of AMC Primes have been upgraded to Dolby.

Last year, I went to both of those theaters in the New York Metropolitan Area to go see the best movies in Prime at AMC. The only Prime at AMC I ever go to was at AMC Empire 25 in New York City. And I also went to the other one at AMC Wayne 14 in Wayne, New Jersey.

My only issue with this is that the order is wrong. The "Prime Difference" comes after the Coca-Cola part, in my PRIME anyway.

Is this different than Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime? I live near an AMC that has both Prime and Dolby but not sure about Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. Is it Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime is the new hybrid system for both Prime and Dolby? Thank you.

AMC Prime *used* to be AMC's de facto premium moviegoing format (alongside ETX) until 2015, when AMC and Dolby partnered to create Dolby Cinema. The new Dolby theaters were converted over from preexisting Prime theaters, hence the format's early tagline "Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime". I don't know if they're still saying that in the preshow. It wouldn't surprise me if they've since dispensed with it, considering how Dolby Cinema has quite eclipsed the format from which it emerged.

I have one in Coral Ridge(Saw Avengers Infinity War on April 28) and one not too far in Pembroke with Dolby and IMAX(Seeing Avengers Endgame in IMAX and Godzilla King Of The Monsters in Dolby)

Prime has a lazer projector and reserved seating and it's one of he reason she why prime is so expensive

@@iNAZUMA_AiDAN_H well i got A-list and I can use the three movies a week deal on Prime too if I want. The only AMC I know that has Prime is AMC Empire 25 in Time Square. I might have to see if I can go there sometime and experience Avengers Endgame in Prime if it is still available.
