Almost half a year since the Green team released the RTX 3060, AMD has finally given us their answer - the Radeon RX 6600 XT.
1080p gaming, something that a Bangsawan like me achieved 10 years ago with my Radeon HD 5970, but remains just a dream for all you normal people ever since.
Not anymore!
Let’s see if this graphics card that AMD said we should be able to get at MSRP is able to get 1080p gaming to next level?

I don't see how it having poor ray tracing performance is a con, unless one is ignorant to the fact that this is an entry level GPU in the RX 6000 series and shouldn't expect it to do wonders with Ray Tracing.

Looks like you haven't explored further for this card. There aren't many reviews for this Powercolor Hellhound on KZfaq. And this review you made, became one of the fresh water on this site. At first glance from the reviews you made, it seems that the temperature of this card is really low compared to others card (6600 XT cards in many others reviews). How the power expenditure of this card has also not been reviewed. Even though TDP is listed at the beginning, power expenditure is important in this "budget(?)" class card

You deserve a sub :) I like the 6600 xt, it's a great "slot in" card into existing systems. Cards like the 3060 and 3060 ti are 50% more expensive than the 6600 xt where I live. Personally went for a 6800 xt, but I do advise people building a new system to either go for a r7 5700g APU or a 6600 xt

3060 coast used in finland about 600-650€ (about 750-800usd).. I buyed this card 550€ new, now its sold out. Crazy prices but on these markets it was very cheap

I just bought Sapphire RX 6600XT Nitro+ 8GB Upgrading From Palit Nvidia GTX 1070 superjet stream 8GB... will do some benchmark test.

Mine on furmark hits 88C on task manager but furmark shows 66C. Which is accurate? Is there something wrong with my installation?

both correct? amd software shows me two as well, current and junction. from my understanding current is the outside of the gpu chip. junction is the middle hot spot, which tends to run hotter. hence the name, hotspot lol

About Puget Bench - Davinch Resolve on RX 6600 XT, and RX 6700 XT: As I know you are the 1st reviewer who insisting Puget Bench - Davinch Resolve on RX 6600XT and RX 6700 XT is in between RTX 3060 TI. Other people's Puget Bench version using Davinch Resolve 16 was under RTX 3060. And it is almost impossible to find using RX 6600 XT, RX 6700 XT, and RT 6800m, RX 6700m, RX 6600m. As for Davinci Resolve, the version 17.2.2 or 3 or later with newest AMD readeon video card dirver in July 2021, compatibility and performance of the driver enhanced dramatically. Thus, the bench result of v17 quite enhanced than in v16. Can you report exact version of the software version used in your benchmark? Is the Davinci Resolve 17 version Free, or Studio? 17 Free version only recognize one GPU at a time when its module runs, setting is Auto default. However 17 Studio recognize multiple GPUs. Thus the overall bench results differs almost 15% or so. If my guess is correct on your bench data, RX 6600 XT, RX 6700 XT for desktop and also RX 6600m, RX 6700m, RX 6800m for laptop are quite good choice for dGPU in video editing using Davinci Resolve 17.2.2 or 17.3 later. Adobe Premiere Pro also being more enhanced after v15.4.1.

1440p is just ridiculously expensive. Need a 3060 Ti and even that runs it barely 60fps. Need to wait 4-5 years untill the prices stabilize, and get way stronger cards that can handle wqhd with no issue what so ever.

A lot can happen in 4-5 years but this is more a matter of raw material shortage, not so much the high demand of graphics cards. Plus if it is higher demand, wouldn't it make sense for demand to go even higher seeing as there would be more people and technology has been ramping in discussions for the past decades?

Honestly, yea. If you're playing triple A games like cyberpunk or red dead, maybe not so much. But if playing something like Minecraft, fortnite, valorant, overwatch, etc it's a waste.

Not at all. You're not buying the card for just today, but also for the next 2, 4, or god forbid 6 years. Cyberpunk level of games will be a standard in 6 years, all over the place in 4 years, and common in 2 years. A 6600 XT is a beauty for people who play indie games that skip on DLSS and Ray tracing. Especially if you don't have the budget for a high end system!

I just got this model. It outperforms the RTX. But RTX 3060ti is at least 20% more expensive here in Brazil. So this is my go-to gpu. Upgrading from a RX580

I’m so lost. I watch this video and I’ve decided I think this is the right GPU for me. Then I back out of this video and see a bunch of other videos from reputable people saying DONT BUY THIS GPU… I’m so confused

The answer is not that simple anymore, unfortunately. At this point because no GPU can be had at retail price, like I mentioned, get whichever you can closest to the SRP.
