Well it was always owned and built by a a rich Russian man, that had made a deal to use the "TRUMP Brand". It was never built or owned by Trump. For a long time it was such an eyesore because for months only the first 3 letters of TRUMP TOWERS were actually put up and the project stalled... Because Trump backed out his commitment to the builders, and they were left unpaid by Trump and tied up in lengthy litigations (much like majority of Trump's enterprises) Many Torontonians eventually filed complaints and the first few "TRUMP TOWERS" letters were taken down and now its calles The St. Regis. Hotel. I have a condo downtown with a view of St. Regis and am very happy with the results! Basically Trump tried to hold our Canadian city hostage without payment like he does everything else in his life (much like he has the American people in this election) He is so beyond vile and we dont want his propertys, even if they were paid in full.
