America's Historic Towns will bring its audience nostalgia, intrigue, and adventure. As a soothing romp through America’s history, with frequent ‘then and now’ shots to show the effects of time on the architecture and community development. The show will bring to light the interesting, yet often little-known history of the towns that made America what it is today. Join me on our first journey to my hometown of Manheim, Pennsylvania - a beautiful little country town established in 1762 by an eccentric German glass maker, Henry William Stiegel.

Good to see the old town. We lived on South Penn st for a few years when I was a kid. Back in late 80's early 90s.

I mainly grew up in Mastersonville but we did live in town on South Hazel Street for a year or two. We lived at the very end of the street, where the houses are now gone and it's a small park.

Thank you for this video, I have learned recently of my family heritage in Manheim. Our family farm in the 1700s is the area just north east of Manheim and the family name is Lehman, Hans and his sons Daniel and Peter owned this land. I'm wondering if you knew of this heritage or can shed any light on our family farm between Colebrook St. and Hernley Road. They were farmers and Millers however we don't know what they milled or where the mill may have been.
