My God, I used to run the amusement arcades for Rank on the park, I think it was 1999 ish, we installed those remote control boats on the lake and had the consoles that you popped your money in to control them on the walkway to the island. At then end of each day we brought them back to shore, took out the batteries and put them on charge for the next day. Every now and then a boat would escape the boom we set up to stop them straying into the main lake and we would have to use one of those pedalo things to go and recover them. One day we lost a boat and it always was a mystery where it went. Well here we are 25 ish years later and you have solved the mystery! Utterly gobsmacked, you have made my day!

Enjoyed that, if you get permission again go to the other side of the lake where the missile was, there will be lots of golf balls and there are two small wooden boats that have sunk by the little island. Nice to,see you cleaning the lake up :)

Incredible, I often wondered what happened to this place. I use to go there back in the early 90's when I was a kid. It's sad to see something you remember as a kid all gone. But hopefully the place will have great things for the future. Thanks.

Damn, been a while since I've been over that way. I was saddened on my last visit, a few years back, that the place had been flattened. Now I see everything has been completely dug up for a new development. Had a lot of fond memories of that park back in the 90s :-(

I cant believe that not one Golf ball that lake used to be littered with em lol I can remember fishing here a couple of years ago and not catching owt! No wonder there is no fish. So me and my mate went for a swim instead and I lost my black cap its a skateboarding cap.
