I'm flying to Tokyo in one of these in April, I'm over 6'4", my boss asked to show him what seat I chose, and he upgraded me to business class. stuff like this is why I will stay with them for another 10 years.

In ten days will be my first time on board of a B-787. Hope this experience to remain as one my greatest memories.

Hi, Charlie, once again please let me say a very big "THANK YOU" and "THUNBS UP" for took me together with you onboard this very beautiful and gorgeous airliner. Yesterday (2021-05-20) I spend a whole day full of plane-action at the Frankfurt Rhein-Main airport. Germany,s biggest airport.There is a small visitor-terrace in the forest but very close to the taxiways and the mostly used main runway. Espectially the biggest long-haul airliners will approaching- and touch-down here. I could spotted many UNITED and AMERICAN flights. Very impressed for me. Both airlines only used their brand-new Boeing 787-Dreamliner-fleet across the big pond to Europe and Germany. Air Canada too and their also mighty looking Boeing 777-300ER. Only DELTA visited us with an relativ old Airbus A330-300. But Air India, Saudia, Usbekistan Airways, ETIHAD, Oman Air, Cathay Pacific, Air China, China Southern and Singapore Airlines always for me are very nice and colorful visitors. I have took the German high-speed ICE train from Düsseldorf Main Station to the Frankfurt/Main Airport airport-station. A ride of only 1 hour and 40 min.

I'll be flying on one of the American 787-8's in a month from Maui to Dallas. I'm looking forward to it.

Are the partitions in the center FC seats now working? I’m wanting to book them for my husband and I but I keep reading how there were issues and they didn’t work.

I love this design. When I flew from chicago to frankfurt it was the most comfortable flight I have had. The design feels very cozy and the partition of rooms gives it a great ambience. It feels bigger in the seats. The seats are more comfortable. The premium seats are wonderful. If you are a couple the two seaters are very romantic. It has its own little cabin with more leg room. Love it! Enjoy you guys.

Hi! Row 10, seats D, E, H - it says no floor storage, but it looks like you can fit a small bag or purse under the seat (half wall separating premium economy from economy) in front of you?

Hopefully the new seats give more legroom. I remember being on a flight from ORD TO FCO was not too comfortable in economy on this plane.

Can you tell me if the seats with the wall behind them still recline? Seat guru states they "might have limited recline." Thanks for your response

Charlie, I just subscribed to you channel because I found what I needed on your video. My Wife and I are scheduled to travel on March 23rd. on a B787-8 and we are very excited to flying on it for the first time.

I reckon this new layout would be easier to clean, since Im an aircraft cleaner at Heathrow and mostly do the AA 787 & 777-200s

Question so if you select the first row in premium economy are you expected to share one screen with the person beside you ?

Do the exit rows have a shared TV screen? I couldn't tell.

I like that it's not a huge plane.

I hope in the future, American puts a 787-8 on a route from Raleigh-Durham to somewhere in Asia. The airport is 3 miles from the largest research park in the United States and is home to 2.4 million people. It’s actually smarter to put the flight at RDU rather than CLT if it were to happen because traffic to Asia from passengers going through RDU is 30% higher than that at Charlotte despite it being a hub. JetBlue (AA’s new codeshare partner) has recently added several destinations and has hinted at more destinations in 2021 as we as a potential base when the industry recovers. AA currently flies to London out of here and Delta to Paris with both of them consistently selling out with tickets being $1,400 round trip not including the very high cargo demand from some of the 230 companies at the research park.

This is a nice interior. I wish American Airlines put that interior on all their 737s, A321s, A319s, and A320s and have the premium economy seats in the first class section.

The new slimline seats are pretty bad. They lack cushioning. The recline mechanism is easily broken and the seat back pocket is held together with a wire coat hanger that is easily broken. Most of the seats in main cabin at the emergency exit and bulkhead behind Premium Econony are even smaller in width. Fine for a short flight but for a 10 hour flight it's unbearable. Not to mention the IFE are touch screen which means if someone plays a game behind you, you feel the seat jiggle every time someone touches the screen. No more remote controls.

To make up for the lost economy seats taken up by the new first class booths, we will now be cramming an extra 40 seats into economy by way of removing 2 more inches from the width of the seats and another 1 1/2 inches from the leg room. Should you be to horizontally gifted to fit within the confines of your now 15 inch seat, you will be charged an additional 300 dollars to pay for the 1 1/4 seats you now take up! Additionally, due to the decrease in leg room and to get ahead of the problem of passengers fighting, the seats will no longer possess the ability to recline. Thank you for Flying American Airlines!

Well shit…..I’m gonna be flying in an AA 787 business class 5A in a few days. Did not know that seat did not have windows.

Why’d they pick such bland colors? Even UA has navy in first, purple in premium economy, and blue in main cabin. I guess AA goes for a more professional look?
