Taking AMTL 1, which stands for Alpine Mountaineering and Technical leadership course with the American Alpine Institute. Building my knowledge and experience to eventually become a mountain guide myself teaching similar programs for Alpine Ascents. In this course we practice crevasse rescue techniques, glacier travel, and eventually summit Mt. Baker. The second half of the course we head to Washington Pass along the North Cascades Highway for some alpine rock climbing in one of the most scenic areas in the United States. Adventures galore!
