@@angelaberni8873 Yes I have a lot of respect for him having the courage to tell his story while a lot of people would be too embarrassed or ashamed to. I also admire how this individual learned from his terrible mistakes and completely changed his life around. A lot of people would continue down the path of committing crimes or developing unhealthy coping mechanisms and becoming an addict or something even worse. It’s about learning and growing in life from the mistakes we make. When we don’t learn from them, that’s when there are problems.

I'd love to talk to this guy. My dad was a drug mule back in the day in Costa Rica. Oct 13, 1999, he called me and said, "if you hear I'm dead, don't believe it". Exactly one week later I got a call at 6am from one of his "friends" that he was dead. 3 hours later the cops came to my door to tell me he was dead. I've spoken to a guy who was part of yhe relocation program in Canada and he said, at the time, it was impossible for this information to travel so quickly between central America and Canada

Overuse of words like that are usually to create padding because he's thinking of the next lie, and lie he does! Also he's not very bright, lack of good use of vocabulary. The next one that's popped up is how a similar really truthful dude becomes a prison shot caller, should be good for a laugh!

Just the small things...he leaves the first joint at 3am and after 8 hours he arrives early morning at the next one still. Are all the people thinking this is a great yarn very young, very naive or what??

So do you think he's fared so well afterwards because its not on his record in the u.s.? And the prison community is so far away from where he lives now? A lot of people who go to prison are from the same region where they do their time, so afterwards since they can't find good jobs they end up reconnecting with people they'd met on the inside to do more crime. But this is not going to be the case if you did your time on the other side of the world, right?
