As a British person I love 11:16 "Have you ever said sorry to an inanimate object" Its so british! I've done this several times. Both in the enterance to a B&Q. I said sorry to a cardboard cut out of a police officer because I brushed it with my arm Nd thought it was a real person for a second. 😂😂 The second time was also in the enterance of B&Q when I said sorry to a cardboard cut out again, this time it was Alan titchmarsh with a B&Q apron on because I thought I walked in his way. A second after both incidents I imadiely realized how stupid that looked. 🤣🤣

Milk goes in first if you make tea in a teapot. If you have to make tea in a cup the teabag will go in first. I was away last year working with a large American continent. I arranged a tea morning for them with biscuits (ginger nuts, custard creams, bourbons and jammie dodgers). I also provides British coffee, which is slightly different from the British coffee. (American coffee is more like McDonalds coffee - in fact, the Americano coffee, which is essentially an espresso with added boiling water, was created in WW2 as our two coffees are quite different).

Tea-making: (1) teabag in the mug, (2) add boiling water, (3) start squeezing the bag against the inside of the mug with a teaspoon until the water has turned dark, (4) add milk (if desired) to taste, (5) add white sugar (if desired) to taste. Tea leaves need boiling water for proper infusion to take place; milk already in the mug will cool the water down immediately as the water is poured in. And, of course, an even more proper tea-making is to use a teapot and a cup and saucer :)

I think you're now a mixture of both but definitely more American because you've not had a Colin the Caterpillar! With the Bunk Beds question, from my own personal experience, I always choose the bottom one and I think it is because ceilings on British homes are lower, so it is always cramped on a Top Bunk Bed and you can't sit up, whereas I know American homes have quite high ceilings? So it would be just as comfortable on a Top Bunk 😊

Rich people had fancy enameled mugs, milk would wear of the enamel if you put that in first. @@callumcreighton6105 Ah! I think there was some hooh-hah behind the scenes about that around the time of her marriage. It was made clear to Phillip that the name Mountbatten would not be substituted for, or added to, the Princess's surname on their marriage, nor would it be passed to any children. Teabag, BOILING (not hot) water, and then the milk. Teabag has to be removed BEFORE you add the milk though.

Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong. The milk is used to get the strength and colour right before the tea bag is taken out. Doing it your way, the tea could end up to weak or far to strong.

The only people who will be offended to be called a Brit (in general) are the people born on my side of Northern Ireland where the politest term would be UK citizen and the real term would be Irish or Northern Irish (though the Unionists may still regard themselves as Brits, technically, they're not, at least for the last 400 years). Great Britain refers to England, Wales and Scotland, referring to Britannia, which was England and Wales (post Tudor) plus Scotland since 1 May 1707. The UK of Great Britain and Ireland began in 1801 and ended in 1922, the UK of GB and Northern Ireland began in 1927. Of course they love us, that's why the UK athletics team is called TeamGB with no apologies.

I think the term "Brit" was originally an offensive term used by the IRA during the troubles, but when the British found out about it they mostly didn't mind.

Yank is a friendly term from ww2. Brits were a derogatory name given to British Soldiers in the early 70’s in Northern Ireland. It was Re-owned by British in the late 80’s. Very controversial then but not now. Proud of being English but Ireland is belongs to Ireland!

Don't understand the negative feeling for the term 'Brit'. Has never bothered me. You should check out some KZfaq footage of the Brits from 1989 & 1996. The 1989 show was presented by Mick Fleetwood (of Fleetwood Mack fame) and Sam Fox who made her name as a topless model in the Sun newspaper. The show was a complete shambles in part because Fleetwood had been hitting the booze heavily before the start. So funny watching things go wrong. 1996 was notorious for Jarvis Cocker from from the band Pulp making a lewd gesture with his backside directed at Michael Jackson which got him arrested. Sadly recent shows rather slick, corporate and generally boring much like the music.

OK so brit dosnt bother me but I prefer English as is more accurate. Brit or British is from britannia witch is the name the romans gave to everything south of hadrians wall north of witch the called Caledonia. They left then the angles and saxons came and settled and britannia became land of the angles or angle land witch became England most of us in England are of Anglo saxon desent so English just fits better
