Yes, bring back Marie-Grace and Cecile! And Caroline! And the rest of Julie's original collection! I'm a child of the 90s and early 2000s who aged out around Kaya's release. Yes, I want to see my childhood dolls and their collections back (especially my beloved Felicity), but I also REALLY want to see the dolls I missed in my early adulthood, when I wasn't paying attention. The way I gaze longingly at second-hand Ceciles, and Caroline's entire collection...😫 Definitely going to need the old Sonali mold, though, just like you said!

I am very excited to see the re-release of the historical dolls. I did not grow up with them, so as an adult they are all new to me. I hope things stay around long enough for everyone to get their favourite items that they missed out on. I really wish they didn’t have restrictions on what can be shipped to Canada. I am unable to get any of the birthday outfits. Such a shame. I will have to find another way. Overall very pleased to see the direction they are going. Thanks for sharing Emma! 🥰

I would absolutely spend $55 on Marie-Grace's Summer Outfit! That goes for so much money on the secondary market and I've never been able to buy it. Thanks for sharing all of this! It does make sense that Addy, Josefina and Kirsten are limited quantities, so if they continue to release more and more, everything will sell out eventually and they won't have a zillion dolls and outfits available. I think that's a great plan. And I love all of the re-branding on Pentagram. They are definitely going in the right direction and whatever they paid Pentagram for doing the re-brand looks like money well spent to me.

ooh, it would be awesome if MG and Cecile returned! I kind of made my own version of Cecile by doing an eye swap on a Gabriella doll, but it would be great to have a "real" Cecile - especially if they go back to the older face mold. I already have an original Kirsten with her hair still in factory loop braids, so I didn't buy the doll but I bought her dress. It comes with her original birthday book and the shoes, so that's probably why it cost more. The quality is excellent! I also bought Julie's flower jumper and her school outfit, they are both fantastic! I don't think I will be buying the costumes unless I see them in person and decide they are worth the price. I'm a size small or medium, so it's easy for me to buy off the rack - but I agree it's not fair to exclude those who need more accomodating sizes. Great video, Emma!!

As a Felicity fan... I continue to be disappointed by the AG. They like give us a taste with a slice of disappointment and somehow just never meet the minimum expectations. There's also talk they have "changed" some of the stories? Why bother then... I'm just sad we seem watch them continue to spit on their foundation. Our history isn't pretty, but it's full of lessons. I'm more into age appropriate discussions with my child on what we've learned over time then to ignore or change it.

If they rereleased a lot of the historic outfits that would be a start. My Marie-Grace and Cecilie are the most expensive AG dolls I bought on the second hand market 6 years ago, but that is because I wanted them still in good condition. I am loving my AG Kirsten! My PC one was a rescue so I named her Solveig and she is Kirsten's "susina" cousin sister. Now I can complete Solveig's outfit by copying Kirsten's in different colors.

I would love it if MG & Cecile were back. And Caroline! The downside is when there's so many dolls available each one only gets one or two outfits & maybe some accessories if we're lucky. Being nearly 40, of course I love all the original characters, but I've also enjoyed the newer ones as well. I still want to get new things for Maryellen & Courtney even though they have so much already. Julie has a larger collection, but it's still always fun to see something new for her. Claudie, Nanea, & Melody need new clothes. And so do the twins!! My Isabel is too pretty to just have two outfits & a pair of pajamas.

I'm thrilled to see the historical collection getting more love, I hope they rerelease all retired dolls permanently with a capsule collection of at least 3 outfits! HOWEVER, I'm worried: is AG's fiscal plan prepared accommodate the inevitably lower sales on the dolls they sell for $150 by making them accessories-only, and the outfits which they sell for $55? Or will they say, "Look, we brought back the OGs like you wanted but there wasn't enough interest, so we're retiring them again." Although many of us adult collectors and some parents of child AG fans can afford to shill out or save up to purchase these incredible products, I would think that many of AG's core audience that's keeping it afloat would think, "$150?! Yeah, let's go back and browse the $115 doll options, it's ok if there aren't accessories, we can buy more stuff for the doll another time." I was talking to my mom the other day and she said that 100% would've been her in the early 2000s when she was buying me my Kit doll - even though Kit was my and her favorite character, if she had come with a $35 price hike, I would have likely had to pick another doll - $115 alone is a reach for many people.

I regret not getting Elizabeth’s riding outfit and her holiday outfit plus that AMAZING cloak! I also want Felicity's cardinal cloak and her school outfit with the red skirt.

Mattel is very aware of which retired dolls on the secondary , and how much they go for , so whomever they rerelease next they know what to release as limited release , and which to release cubed. If they did Cecile & Marie Grace I’d bet they would be limited release while supplies last , same with other dolls , their not keeping all rereleases as a mainstay , like you said it would be tooo much merchandise to keep stock… I suspect doll’s like Addy’s rerelease in her original meet will be a mainstay , because Addy was cubed , she could always be purchased online , and at a few stores.. They might retire the Beforever version , because you can still buy her.

Oh yes: I love the American Girl dolls! I lull my ones as real daughters, no need to say anymore. Now I wish to have a dark skinned one; Sonali is the first in my wishlist, but if I'll not realize to have her, the Truly me 80 is a valid alternative. About the beforever, I believed that Molly had to be available in September (so is written in the A.G. website); anyway she is a first choice for the passionated who don't have her yet: all my friends agree that, between my dolls, is their favorite, they are literally felt in love for her.

I think there was some controversy around marie grace and cecile because of inaccuracy in their story (books) so I wonder if rereleased would they redo the books or not. I have Cecile and I love her, but i got her 2nd hand so i never read her books. I like the direction AG is going. The star placement looks a bit awkward tho.

You do realize the outfits are 55 dollars because they come with a book....right? The book at minimum would go for 7.99 on its own. AG's outfits have been trending up.....36 is on the cheap side with their average being around 45.

I think the new historical releases are exciting to see but way too expensive. I won't be buying them because I've already got the currently-retired historical dolls that I want. I'm so glad I got them second-hand before now, because I don't want to pay $150 plus tax when the dolls are normally $115. (I know the $150 includes the accessories, but I'd rather have the option to get them and be able to only pay $115 if I want.) And so far, the re-released historical outfits are $55 plus $10 shipping. Plus, the 18-inch dolls and new collections are usually excluded from promotions, so you can't get 20 percent off these dolls or outfits. The only outfit I might buy is the Marie Grace mint green coat with the pink bows. We don't know that Marie Grace and Cecile didn't sell well. We don't have access to AG's sales info.

I thought Felicity might come back in time to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country in 2026.
