Dear Aussies and Madison , North American's call them Chicken Sandwiches because that's what it is the Burger reference stems from Hamburgers because we shortened it to Burger. Normally we don’t like it cause it’s like sibling rivalry and there’s certain things that are very different that people from other countries don’t notice. That’s why sometimes there’s strong feelings of “dont try and compare us”. I wasn’t offended in this. We do call McDonalds Maccas as well, and I think alot of our fast food is the same/similar (definitely different to the US). We do have Burger King though (Hungry Jacks I’m pretty sure is only Australia), and no Red Rooster like Jess said we might have. Our main ones would be Maccas, BK, KFC, Subway, and Wendy’s (which is burgers and other things, not too sure as I don’t really go there).
