I remember watching this finale at 9 years old and absolutely screaming when Ryan announced that Scotty had won. He was my favorite since his audition. Season 10 was the best season of Idol ever.

This was the last genuine moment on American idol for me. I wasn’t able to watch after this season!

U can see the tears in his eyes and hear them in his voice. This is beautiful. Country music has a heartbeat named Scotty ❤ Still love him today too

I'm from Garner, NC. Never watch Idol in my life. Went to the grocery store one day, saw a line a mile long when other lanes were empty. I asked why and they said the cashier made it to Hollywood on A idol... I had $200 in my online gambling account, took him at 30-1 for 6k. I ran into him a year or so later, told him all about it. He is the pride and prince of my hometown. Love that guy

I was so excited when he won. I called and voted for him about 20 times every time American Idol came on. I live in NC myself. I love you, Scotty

I voted for him and I cried at the finale when he was crowned winner. Watching it again still gets me.

Best Idol season ever. Between contestants like Scotty and Lauren, and then Steven Tyler as one of the judges, it was great. Last season of Idol I watched, actually. None of the ones after measured up.

I wanted James to win. I hate country music its garbage but Scotty has a great voice regardless.

My favorite part of this season was when they had to form groups and everyone was rejecting Scotty because he had such a low voice. I could see the pain in his face. Me thinking inside what is wrong with these people, his voice is beautiful. Well in their faces, bet they regretted it and felt stupid when he won. Karma, karma, oh karma, how I love thee.😜

No offense to all yall southern people I am southern too but like he is just a deep country singer and Haley had everything not to mention her vocal range, I can;t believe she didn't win
