You have got to do yourself a favour and look up 2 specific things. 1 is Bloody Wednesday, it was named that for... Well just look up Red Wings Avalanche rivalry, you'll find plenty. 2 is the Todd Bertuzzi incident, he was a Cannuck when he did it but the Wings took him on after he got a life time suspension. Another change to overtime rules that differ from the regular season is that they will play 20 minute period overtime until someone scores. There has been some pretty epic overtime thrillers that have gone 2 or 3 overtime periods to decide the game.

The reason he kneels for that shot in particular was because the pass was at his feet. He can't make that shot if he's standing up. You need to have enough space between you, the stick, and the puck. Go bruins :D

New to hockey and a leafs fan? react to 2013 Bruins-Leafs Game 7

That's what you get for rooting for a team with a losing tradition.

There was no reason for the Leafs to dump & chase, the Bruins were matching lines so the Leafs easily could have carried the puck over the blueline 3 on 2 in most cases they were dumping. When they did carry it they would just take a shot on net and hope for a rebound, not many were really tough to stop and there weren't many rebounds. When the Leafs did finally take a late 3rd period lead with just under 11 minutes all they had to do was switch up their game and play a trap defence, grind it out on the boards, keep the passes short or lob the puck to center and force the Bruins to regroup, whatever it takes to waste the clock. BUT the Leafs can't play a trap system, they have 2, maybe 3 defensive forwards, barely 1 line that can play 2-way hockey, all their hopes and cash are put into their top 6 forwards, their defense is mediocre, not terrible but not elite and their goalies are interchangeably hot & cold, no consistency. The point is they couldn't switch up to a trap defense so kept the game wide open offense against offense and it kicked them in the balls less than 2 minutes later. OT didn't change anything, The Leafs simply can't play decent defence, they rely on outscoring teams not preventing teams from outscoring them. They need to invest in a starting goalie and work out to the defence from there, Winnipeg's backup Laurent Brossoit is a free agent and looking for a starter position after many years as a backup, the Leafs could have him, Samsonov likely won''t resign in Toronto, that's $1.8 million saved, and they can trade one of their Top 6 forwards, Marner and his $10.9 million per is the guy most fans want to see go so he could be bait for a decent Top 2 defenceman like Rasmus Dalen of the Sabres for $6 million per, the Sabres have tons of cap space already, and still have enough to sign Brossoit to a 4-5 year contract at around $5.5-$6 million per. That would be a good start.
