Peshawar is an ancient city, situated on the old silk road. It is said that it is almost 3000 to 4000 years old. Its culture is very rich, people used to go there for shopping and hearing stories of travelers from around the world. One market in Peshawar is called Qisa Khwani Bazar, which litterly means, Story tellers bazar.

This is the city of Pakistan, Peshawar. They do speak Pashto language and the song in this language. The outfit and culture are related to the city. They represented it. Gul panra is basically a Pashto singer from Peshawar.

It's not a revamped song. It is a new song, sang in Pashto language. There are between 70-80 languages spoken in Pakistan.

For ignorant people this larsha pekhawar is over 100years old folk song. Gulnar Begum sung it in 1948 on Peshawar Pakistan radio . Ahmad Samir of Afghanistan copied it in 1979 larshay ningarhaar.. Peshawar was a central hub in 1800s and not nigarhaar… before him raj kapoor from Peshawar copied it in 1949 and created barsat mei hum se millay tum sajan. Then Bollywood copied the beat and created many songs like. tenu kala chasma sajda ae.
