There are some truly breathtaking species that make their home in the snowy north. This film introduces you to a few of my personal favorites. All the northern species seen on this film are incredibly sensitive to Climate Change. This is because as the northern regions of our planet warm, many species like Gray Jay and American Pine Marten will not be able to adapt (remember they are only found in northern regions). Scientists have been studying them for many years and their populations are already in decline along the southern areas of their habitat. Its going to take all of us working together to help these populations with strong conservation efforts.
At the Nature Walks Conservation Society we truly care about the well being of all wildlife and habitat and do our best to reconnect families to the natural world. We host in person Nature Walks, work with local conservation commissions about habitat planning, perform public speaking and of course create wildlife films to share.
If you wish to help us on our mission either by volunteering or donations to help cover the costs to perform our work you can find information at;
NatureWalksCS.org
Thank you so very much!
Mark Fraser

Hella Mark thank you very much for sharing this beautiful video. The marten obviously is very fast and sometimes it isn't that easy to follow it with the camera. How long did it take you to train the birds for hand feeding? Rüdiger

He probably didn't have to do anything to train it. Grey jays are exceptionally friendly birds!

You sure put a lot of time and work into your videos... I just want to say thank you... You should have a prime time nature show. You really have a gift being a wildlife vloger... You have a God given talent for it... I would love to be able to be out in the woods like that again. I miss being mobile like that. I've got my memories and shows like your to remind me of the joy of being out in God's creation enjoying all the beauty HE created for us to enjoy.... PLEASE keep it up as long as you can. There are many out here like me that only get to see these type of things because you care enough to do what you do best... Thank you again... Be blessed in Jesus name... BBE..

I saw one of these gorgeous martens while I was hiking this fall and nearly lost it!!! No one in my group believed me because they're so rare. They're still convinced I just saw a squirrel XD

Ictonychidae (Zorillas, Muishund, Shulang, Huro, Grisons, Wolverine, Tayra, Martens, and Fisher) vs Eupleridae (Malagasy Carnivorans) which one of these carnivoran families would win?

We are in Michigan. We have a small farm. This is the second time now that I've caught something out the corner of my eye. I'm not sure, but I can't think of anything else it could be. It's too big to be mink.

Why doesn't this channel make videos anymore? This is like the nature show I always wanted. The other ones are always so fake.

Nice footage. m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nNigY893nri6cp8.html Here's my pal Marty a close relative to the American Pine Marten the European Pine Marten (Martes martes) filmed not too far from a large town. I have a playlist of Pine Marten footage on my channel. They are starting to do well again in Ireland and are extending their range. But are still considered a rare sight in general. But that is partly due to their nature. They were restricted to only one or two areas (e.g. the Burren in Co. Clare) and close to extinction until quite recently.
