us french have a histoire of speaking a bit a German, from history reason of course. especially Alsace and Lorraine region, they moved back and forth between germand France and least 3 or 4 times.

@@ikelevermann1491 Does we? :D Honestly, it's really good that now it mostly stay in 'jokes and fun area', but those 'relations' lead far deeper in the past than just to some short episode called WW2. At least as Czech I can tell and according what you see and hear in french films it's not just us Czechs ;) So yeah, seeing french crowd singing german is kinda funny! :D And no worries, I do love to hear and sing Rammstein song Deutchland even though we have verry rich 'history' with that 'so jung und noch zu alt' nation ;) And than again - if you are from Deutchland - it's ok. Your grandparents really took it level to far hundred years ago and it's nice that Deutchland get that long way which Moscovia didn't care to take obviously. They even reject existence of WW2 since they reject the fact that it was initiated by union of Nazzi Germany and Soviet Union. Anyway, you right, let's just stay now on fact that Rammstein are great! ;)

Biggest Rock Band on Earth 🌎on all levels …6 still together after 30+ years! No drama ,no overdose’s, no huge egos ,they split everything 6 way’s and gives credit and music rights to all in the band …. Rammstein is the biggest rock band throughout the world!!..they sell out every arena they play no matter what part of the world!! Long time Rammstein fan here: I always find it amazing that people tend to pick "Du Hast" as their first song from this band. I mean, its interesting, but really, its FAR from being a masterpiece if compared to others (Mein Herz brennt, Sonne, Mein Teil, Deutschland, etc). I wish people would suggest streamers a wider variety so they could understand its not always the same old choice.

Fun fact: Till Lindemann the Leadsinger is a pyrotechnician. He once said in an Interview he learned how to do it, because he didn't know what else to do on stage. The other five have instruments and he only sings. So he became a freaking pyrotechnician and I think that's awesome! I love their shows, was there several times. Last week in Dresden Germany. 🇩🇪

Not true, but it was actually for a really sweet reason: after a bunch of fans and musicians got hurt from badly done pyrotechnics back in the 90s Til decided to learn the job as to prevent accidents like that in the future :)

This is a testament that music truly brings people together since a German band is playing to a hyped up and enthusiastic French crowd, if you know your history. Additionally, the whole band is certified to set off pyrotechnics, but the lead singer is _fully_ certified in the sense that he can position and make his own stuff.

Theatricality and crowd control are two strong points of all Ramstain shows. The singer is a certified pyrotechnician, hence the heavy use of fireworks in their shows. 9:54 He fires in flare over the audience and "calls an airstrike." From the back 4 flares are fired toward the stage in response. Amazing.

This is one of my favorite songs, when this song came out back in the day I was like “yes thank you!” One more thing I wanna say is the way they captivate an audience is nothing short of spectacular. Imagine you’re that band on stage and this huge venue full of people and they’re all singing in unison and on key, I might add!

In 1999 I was 16 and saw Rammstein (if you can believe this) open for Limp Bizkit and Korn in Virginia Beach on the "Family Values Tour". The most incredible thing to me is that Rammstein did 45 minutes and by the time Bizkit took the stage, the crowd was spent and NOT having it. Most people either sat in their hands, left, or booed the Co-headliners. When Korn came LATE I'll add, Jonathan Davis threw a hissy fit after like 2 songs and the crowd just laughed at him and threw debris onto stage.

Keyboardist Flake Lorenz was bored to just stand there when his skills were not needed, so he thought it would be fun to excercise. He can change the speed of the treadmill according to the rythm of the song. It's not blood you see on the vocalist's arms, but fire retardant gel in case something goes wrong. He's a licensed pyrotechnician. Even if you're not into this genre, you won't be bored with the show!

What's cool is that treadmill seems to be a van de graaff generator and a tesla suit which can protect you from high voltage. Pretty awesome trick and the "air strike" put this show over the top

I've been a fan of Rammstein for over 20 years and I love watching people discovering their music for the first time. I've been to several concerts, and close to the stage - those flames and fireworks are insane! They also used to do a song where they were breathing fire. The most epic band ever!

I love when musicians of different genres can appreciate the talent and chops of others. Was just rewatching a video of Foo Fighters trolling the hate filled Westboro Baptist Church boycotting their show, and even one of the haters ended up grooving to their bigger power of love, joy and music. Seen Rammstein live almost 10 times now, every time they blew me away. Year ago, I saw them in Tallinn, awesome show! This summer, in Helsinki, awesome show. Took my 12 yo son with me, got supreme spot on the field, dead centre, right at the fence to the VIP section. Was great to see my son on his first ever concert loving every minute of it. And he chose german to be his second foreign language after english, just because I introduced him to Rammstain when he were 8 or so.

The lead singer, Lindemann, is a licensed pyrotechnician. And even though they up the ante with pyrotechnics each tour, Lindemann strives for safety. A fire and burning equipment from pyrotechnics during an earlier tour is what inspired Lindemann to become a licensed pyrotechnician.

Madison Square Garden was not only sold out, it was sold out within 27 minutes. The song came out in the late 90s, around 97. The genre in Germany is called neue deutsche Härte, witch translates to new german hardness, or strongness. Bit I think, its ok, if you call it industrial metal.

I was recently on Rammstein concert and when they shoot the flare gun, the things that come back are shot from these pylons that are erected in the audience and then the entire stage explodes. They use the pylons to disperse all kinds of stuff on the audience, including a thick black smoke, fly-shaped confetti or do a laser show that makes you trip balls. Totally #1 band in the world when it comes to a live performance.

Last year Rammstein toured through the USA, are you even aware of how long ago Du Hast was recorded? Like 1990. They are Heavy Metal . Everything you saw in the live performance they did live. I saw them in Minneapolis. The best concert ever, the flames, the fireworks, amazing. It should be noted that most Americans do sing the along with the band. The members of Rammstein are in their 50s. They have been together for many years. Their show is jaw dropping.

The song is about marriage vows -in particular, questioning the ‘till death’ vow- and how feelings and relationships can change over time. Over time, “You have me” can change into “You hate me.” Most people who have been married a long time can understand the the line, “You asked me, and I said nothing.”

Saw them in Chicago in 2022. One of the most visually stunning concerts I have ever been to. I was probably ~300 feet from the stage and could still feel the heat from the pyrotechnics. Also I happened to be standing right where they made a walking path for the band to get to their encore stage platform. Besides Ollie the bass player and Flake the keyboardist they all seemed smaller than I expected when I was 2 feet away from them lol.

I love that you found this and have shown it to all your friends 😀 i remember the first time I heard this song, it was late 90's when i went to high school. I used to record the local college station on cassette over nights then make mixed tapes from whatever I found that was new. I just loved it right off the bat, used to listen before basketball games to pump me up.

I saw them in Padova (Italy) in July. The whole concert was absolutely incredible!!! We were not able to buy tickets for their concerts in Munich but, fortuately, we could buy tickets for Padova😀. It was very amazing that so many people were so text secure but they did not speak German. Best concert in my life😊

Rammstein come from a long tradition of European “industrial’ performance / music. It stretches back through Einstürzende Neubauten, Archaos, Mutoid Waste Company to even earlier last century with the Italian Futurists and the Art of Noises.

When I went to see Rammstien in Texas I was in the "burn zone" and I WANTED IT THAT WAY. I packed burn gel and everything else because the first time in the 90's when this song came out I was in the "burn zone" and lost my eyebrows! Best fucking memory of a concert aside from the time I got into a brawl with a 6'2 man about 300lbs over a drum stick thrown by the drummer of my favorite grunge band in '96. I broke 3 ribs, cracked my sternum, got a grade 2 concussion, screamed so loud I couldn't talk for 1 month but I STILL HAVE THAT FUCKING DRUM STICK.🤘😊

I saw them live in 2022 Philadelphia Pa. It is a once in a lifetime experience. Till is not only a showman but trained pyrotechnics. Also their cord managment is INSANE. Also to confirm it is HOT with those flames.

I went to the Rammstein show in Sao Paulo Brazil 2007 and I left sweaty because of the heat. The show is insane, the best I've ever seen, totally theatrical, it was also indoors. I got out of there wetter than a baby's pissed diaper.

Was at Ramstein concert last year 2022 in Gothenburg/Sweden and its ONE of THE best concerts ive ever been to! I was at the first row (1st fire Zone) damn the flames shoot out like 2m above our heads and came from the scene and from behind behind at the pillars separating the 1st and 2nd fire zone.. It was HOT as F... but damn it was great!

Saw them a year ago in San Antonio... they brought their entire show. You could feel the fire from the cheap seats. The only thing added in the edit: the lightning, and they enhanced some of the explosions. They put on an INCREDIBLE show.

The song "Du Hast" by Rammstein revolves around the question, "Do you want to marry me?" while conveying doubts and the exertion of power. The lyrics "Du, Du Hast, Du Hast mich, und ich hab nichts gesagt" can be interpreted as someone receiving a marriage proposal and not saying anything in response.

Industrial metal has been around for decades, give Ministry a listen. They released their first album in the early 80s as a synth-pop group but evolved into an industrial metal band in the late 80s.

I'm 60 and still like Rammstein. I worked with a guy years ago that was good friends with the lead singer.. quite close. Rammsteins music , believe it or not , are typically 'love sons' in German . Giving it that reversed emotion charge. You have to translate the lyrics... RAMMSTEIN ROCKS ... Industrial metal and their concerts are an experience.

First : some of rammstein songs could mabey for some people, in the rock/Metall groups more, count as love songs, but this one sure isnt and also i cant remeber many who would even be remotely near a love song, we germans have other music for that. And the other thing is, after all that has happenend i wouldnt tell so proudly of beeing on good terms with Lindemann. Dont know if its true, but that he took to many drugs in his life, is into young women and has a slight god complex, kind of is a thing 😅

Rammstein is universally popular in many countries, here in the US when they play they sell out tours left and right, they sell out shows all over the world...i cant speak german a lick, but i sing my ass off when ive seen them live lol❤️

watching a video of them live and being at one of their shows are two different experiences. i've been to their live show and had vip to meet the band after. the live atmosphere is something i cant put into words and meeting the band in person was amazing. the lead singer Till is like a giant he's that tall. all members are lovely to speak to.

Saw them last year and it was one of the best an most intens concerts I've ever been to. They sell special tickets called „Feuerzone“ which translates to fire zone. It‘s the area directly in front of the stage and those flames and pyro are crazy. By times it feels like the heat is singeing your eyebrows 😂 Can’t imaging being ON stage, the heat must be crazy 🔥

Saw them when they were in philly last and being in the pit in front of the stage and the flames they fire out is hot. Its crazy how great they are live. Also the fact they are so loud apparently they are heard up to a dozen miles away if they are playing an open stadium.

I was standing one on the side and once in the standing area (in the middle not in the fire zone) and in the first one you just get the full fire wave at your face but in the standing area you don't feel almost anything because you're under the fire 😂

when metallica came to play in my city in Norway they brought around 40 trucks. Rammstein came with 130 XD alooooot of equipment for their stages and pyro shows etc

I saw these guys in Cardiff, Wales. The stadium opened the roof and so many people in the city called the fire brigade because of the amount of smoke billowing out, they all thought it was on fire. The amount of pyro in their shows is intense.

Fun fact, German is one of the closest languages to English in sentence structure and vocabulary, so it's easier for native English speakers to grasp the meaning behind the language and vice versa. Du=You, hast/hasst=have/hate, mich=me. Also, "und ich hab nichts gesagt" und=and, ich=I, hab=have, nichts=nothing, gesagt=said (but I read it as "to say"), or, in a different English structure, "and I did not say anything." The other lyrics are wedding vows. At one point I always thought I heard, "Will you be her Valentine?" at some point. Which is awesome, because instinctively I knew what they were singing about, even though I didn't know the language. He actually says, "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet." Which is "Will you until Death do you part?"
