Tbh because of the comedy I think it actually really gets the reality of London life on estates better then kid, adult and brother. Perfect blend of comedy mixed with a serious message.

kidulthood, adulthood and brotherhood are the originals and they aren't comedy's, they're more like the street dramas you were expecting... And the guy who plays Kenneth in this film, is called Adam Deacon, he's in the other hood films, and he's pretty good at rapping irl, he's got a couple Westwood freestyles that are worth checking out but he wrote this spin off parody himself, apposed to Noel Clarke who writes and stars in the other films as the antagonist called 'Sam'...

This is how I know you are going deep into the UK. On a more serious note….I recommend The Krays (from the 90s) a true story and one of the greats about real life UK Gangsters. It is the better story and much better than the Tom Hardy adaptation more recently.
