Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through KZfaq videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

All these people slagging him off. He has raised millions for charities by enduring some of the most physically demanding endurance marathons and other efforts. He has performed his sets in other countries by speaking their language throughout. The cynics on here have probably never achieved or given anything to society.

So clever . I heard that when he was still doing the circuit of comedy venues before he became famous, he went to Belgium ( I think) and did his whole routine in French ,even though having a limited vocabulary of the language . .The audience still got his humour

Yup. He fluffed the line anyway, saying 'lent' instead of 'borrowed', so removing that improves the flow of this compilation. And, in any case, you can't blame them for not wanting to give any publicity to an organisation that's happy with 48,830 gun deaths per year. 😉

Eddie Izzard is great, the problem is with clips is that he keeps coming back to things from earlier in the show. This is the "Dress to Kill" show, and I just love it. Interestingly this was actually filmed in San Francisco, if I recall correctly.

Americans tend to pronounce IZZARD to rhyme with "lizzard"... but it's actually "IzzÁÁÁrd" (as in "card").

@@2eleven48 i can use whatever language i like. However, fins like yourself like to flag language they disagree with. I've already had a yt ban a couple of years back and never knew why. All i can reason is that some salty Leftists and others who could be mentioned, eg the Alphabetti Spaghetti, brigade, chose to flag because of hurty feelings because they cannot tolerate a different opinion. I admire Izzard for those epic marathons he did 13 years back...as for his comedy..ok. However he is just another preening, hypocritical, wealthy socialist...who tbh, just looks ridiculous. As someone shouted at him on QT, with Farage, he should just "shutup" and stop making a fool of himself. If you think I'm a fan of Farage, I'm not. All politicians are equally depressing.

Ahhh, the good old days when Eddie was actually funny. Funny haha, unlike today, where he's still funny but not funny haha, more funny,....... straaaange.He/She/They/It doesn't seem to know what he/she/they/it wants to be, except when a pink beret is being worn and suddenly, the collection of pronouns suddenly becomes an authority on British politics, very odd.
