Both domestic and feral cats have wiped out so many of our beautiful marsupials and birds since being introduced with British colonisation. But as an American you can keep as many cats as you like, particularly if your a responsible owner thats keeps them indoors. Enjoyed your video reaction.

I 100% keep my cats indoors! Too many dangerous animals around that can kill them. And all of my cats have been strays that I rescued and one was completely feral and I brought her home and worked with her for a long time to trust humans. She’s now my best cat. Disgraceful nonsense. An insult to the sacred bird of Egypt and this particular species is officially called a 'Sacred Ibis' in Australia. The ibis plays an important role in natural pest management as it preys on small insects and grubs. While increasing population must be managed, their long-term conservation is necessary for maintaining the variety of all plants and animals. Ibis also play an important role in aerating the soil while they probe for insects on our public parks and sporting ovals. Calling them 'bin chickens' is not 'clever'. Americans should also note that they can see a species of Ibis in Florida.

@@ToniaElkins That's because that's what they are, they use their long beaks to feed out of dumpsters at restaurants, supermarkets, or anywhere there is likely to be food scraps. A nursing home I worked at had a resident bin-chicken, you could always find him/her feeding on the food discarded by kitchen staff and residents.

You can always have a stopover in LA or Hawaii on the way to Sydney. It’s 15 hour flight from LA to Sydney. Good to build up a sleep bank before going. Adjust time to Sydney time when flying and try to rest according to that. Pay extra for exit seats for more room to sleep and be more comfortable. Sydney is fine to visit but is expensive to live there. Most things are twice the price of the smaller cities like Brisbane,Adelaide and Perth. Real estate, parking. Basics like coffee are similar prices but benefit is other currencies are much stronger so you get value for money as a tourist. The climate is Sydney is mostly good too. Only gets coolish in June and July and humid in January and February but not unbearable like the tropics. It can rain for days though. Heavy consistent rain. Sounds similar to what they experienced. Traffic is bad there and Melbourne which is much colder. Been freezing lately. Meal sizes at 5 star restaurants are always smaller being based on presentation and flavours of gourmet cooking. You pay for the experience as they said. The service, the view etc. At pubs and cafes meal portions are larger but nothing like American sizes. Mostly $A20 to $30 in smaller cities and can add 50% to that for Sydney. Still in $US that’s $12,$20 and $30, so good value. Australia has 100’s of craft breweries and some of the best wine grown in the world. Very good quality very reasonably priced around $A20.

Those places are my neighborhood. I live in a 12th floor apartment in the city. I have sat in many of the seats they sat in, walked along the same streets. I see the same views as a normal part of my daily life. You never tire of it. It is special. One thing I can never understand is people who go to the outside of the Opera House, but don't go inside. There is always so much happening there. It is a cultural center with everything from plays, to concerts, music, and of course opera. Then there are the tours where you can go underneath the performance venues and see all the rehearsal spaces, the green rooms, and production facilities. It is the inside that is most fascinating, but so many people never go inside to find out.

Honestly I didn’t even know they had all that in there. They don’t really advertise the opera house here. Other than showing the beautiful view of it. Which is a shame cuz if there’s tours and stuff then we should definitely know about it so we know to go lol.

3:16 I think I would like small towns better. I remember watching an old Australian tv show. The bloke fires up his car sits in it so it warms up and then drives over the road to get milk and a news paper then drives back over the road again. Brisbane is too big a city for me and my home town is getting to big now. The first sign it is too big is all the sirens of emergency vehicles.

29:43 One thing we are never told but our meal times are made around. the stomach has to fully digest before it drops. Anything vegetable is about 1 hour. anything meat is 4 hours. Sardines in oil can be up to 9 hours to digest. If you stack up too soon you stretch your stomach. A stretched stomach makes you feel hungry sooner. Food for thought.

Sydney CBD gets busy at lunch time and after 5pm when the corporate workers are on the streets. Otherwise it’s nowhere near as hectic as NYC because Sydney’s population is so much less than NYC. In fact, the state of New York has 19.6 million. The whole of Australia has 26 million, with Sydney and its suburban sprawl having just 5 million. In regard to the opera house. The roof (sails) if separately taken off and assembled together would form a sphere. The aussies who complained about your cat probably did so because cats , both domestic and wild are responsible for the extinction of most of our small species. Therefore most aussies have a poor opinion of cats in general. Some local councils will fine owners who let there feline friends roam instead of keeping them in secure caged runs when not inside.

Sydney is fine to visit but is expensive to live there. Most things are twice the price of the smaller cities like Brisbane,Adelaide and Perth. Real estate, parking. Basics like coffee are similar prices but benefit is other currencies are much stronger so you get value for money as a tourist. Traffic is bad.
