In colloquial German "Zwo" (pronounced 'ts-vo' in English) gets very, very close to how a German would pronounce the English word "two" in German. In German, it would be 'tvo'. OMG, that's just around the corner at the Mehringdamm. Curry 36 offers a peeled sausage, that's the only unique thing. Btw: the number refers to the old postal code of Kreuzberg with 36 being more working class. 61 used to be the "General's District" for the wealthy with pie crust facades. The shadow of the wall made many Germans move out and Workers from abroad move in.Plus all the rebellious young men who could escape the draft card in Berlin. The mix of low costs of living, oriental colors and German alternative culture (they mean what they say and act accordingly) created a legendary atmosphere that attracted many, especially artists. Bürgermeister literally means master of citizens or mayor, Burgermeister doesn't exist so far but it translates as master of Burgers . They just have opened a restaurant at the Mehringdamm, too. Unfortunately the excellent Falafel sandwich restaurant / street seller has just closed. He was the king of street food in this area. Mustafa is delicious, but too much fat because he deep fries everything, including the bread. The best streetfood in my opinion is the boerek / Turkish pizza you can get 100 meters east of Curry 36 in the Gneisenau Straße. The nearby market hall unites all kinds of food sellers under one modern roof. Everything is bright and spacious and looks tasty, but, honestly: I like the other market hall more, the one where they eat "sour cherry crumble pie" in the video. It's in the Eisenbahn Straße. As a Berliner I can say, Curry36 and Mustafas Döner are both ok, but mainly live on their popular name, being mentioned in every tourist guide. There are better places for Currywurst and Döner in Berlin. On the other hand Burgermeister is definitely one of the best places for Burgers in Berlin!

Concerning you calling it an appetiser, one Currywurst without fries will be around 500 kCal ^^ At least the ones I get at the store. Two plus fries? That'll feed a small person for a day.
