Simulan mo jan sa Jollibee, Queens. Tapos tawid ka sa kabila... sunod sunod na mga Filipino restaurants jan. May Tapsilogan jan masarap. Hindi ko lang maalala pangalan ng restaurant. Subukan mo dinuguan, kare-kare, pansit, tapsilog, daing na pusit at mga kakanin tulad ng bibingka.

The proper way of eating adobo with rice is that you put a little bit of adobo sauce with meat on the rice. You did the opposite which was putting rice in the adobo plate. I bet that was salty. It should've been putting adobo sauce with adobo meat (about a tablespoon of sauce with about a match box of meat) INTO the plate of rice and then get about one and a half tablespoon full of rice and mix it and eat it together. Im being very technical because that's how you eat filipino food so you can appreciate it more.

Thank you for valuing and appreciating our culture and our Filipino food. *Gamitin ang pangungusap na 'mahal kita' kapag tumutukoy sa iisang tao o bagay. Kapag tumutukoy sa maraming tao (gaya ng katapusan nitong video), gamitin ang salitang 'mahal ko kayo'.* But don't worry, our language is quite complicated that even I can't master. Anyway, I really appreciate this vlog. :)

Good choices of what you tried. :) Also, I love how you approached the food. :D Watched some of your other videos too and they are interesting! There is a common saying in the travel blog community that rings very true about Filipino Culture... "Whenever you are with Filipinos, you are with Family!" ... and we are take great pride in that. Thank you for appreciating our food. =)

5:02 hahhahahahahahaa in Malaysia/Indonesia & Singapore (to a lesser degree), "mahal kita" = literally "expensive us". extrapolate that and it would imply "high maintenance" HAHAHAHAHAHHA ! "mahal kita" just cannot mean "i love you" anywhere other than in the Philippines unless it means "i love you with preconditions subject to how rich you are" HAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THE SUBTLETIES OF DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND THE LITERAL TRANSLATIONS BETWEEN THEM!!!

To be honest in filipino mahal also means expensive Our languages came from malay language so its not surprising Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines have some words that are the same

i am a filipino. i am a bit disappointed with the waiter in that resto, he should be familiar with the ings. of the food or drink they serve. one good quality of a waiter must have is basic familiarity of the product they serve to customers. but i might understand the waiter. probably he's just a new employee. i'm happy that the vlogger enjoyed his first fil. meal.

I am sure the waiter knew what's the ingredients of the food.but I think he had a little bit problem on how to say or explained it in English.whats important is that he do his job as a waiter..😊

Aw, wish I could’ve gone with you! Next time I’m in the city I’ll show you around. In true Filipino hospitality/style...my treat! ☺️ Oh! There’s a ton of great Filipino food in Jersey City! Just a PATH train away. Like legit hole-in-the-walls that are great! There’s also Manila Social Club, Maharlika, and Jeepney in NYC that are a bit more contemporary, but still fun. I think the next thing you should try is “Kamayan” a.k.a “Boodle Fight,” where you eat with your hands. They have Kamayan Nights at Jeepney. You should totally go! You’re adorable! I’m happy you enjoyed it! ☺️🇵🇭🇵🇭
