People are sleeping on Danny Saucedo, the man finished in top-3 on 3 different occasions (3rd in 2009, 2nd in 2011 & 2012) He was never trying to win in 2021, he himself said he just wanted to have fun that year Now Danny is very serious about winning, that's a huge contender right there Without hearing the songs, I'm going to say it's between Danny, Dotter and Marcus & Martinus, but let's wait and see what the entries are

Thank you for this video! I hope for Smash Into Pieces, Medina, Klara Klingenström and Kim Cesarion, based on their previous songs. It will also be interesting to see what Gunilla Persson brings to the table, people have talked about it alot.

Yep the show that kept coming up was swedish idol. Its a pretty usual segway for the idols to compete in melodifestival 1 or 2 years after their idol journey. I predict Jay Smith will be a top contender this year 😋

Speaking of Idol, 7 Melodifestivalen winners, had previously competed on Swedish Idol: Loreen, Måns Zelmerlöw, Robin Stjernberg, Loulou Lamotte (one of the Mamas), Anna Bergendahl, Robin Bengtsson and Tusse. And some other former Swedish Idol contestants that has competed in Melodifestivalen (and didn't win...yet): Danny Saucedo, Cazzi Opeia, Lisa Ajax, Liamoo, Hanna Ferm, Molly Pettersson Hammar, Mariette, just to name a few.

As a Norwegian, I would love for our neighbors in Sweden to send something like Smash Into Pieces, Medina or even Clara Klingenström. To me, Dotter is the same thing as they have been sending. Polished pop in English. Do something different Sweden. You're not risking qualification so just go for it.

Gunilla is such an icon, she's from the show Swedish Hollywoodwifes. There are definetly compilations on all fights she's had with the wives on that show, she is quite the character. She has some great quotes too like: "I could have gone both blind and deaf. And mute. I could have died. This was an attempted murder." after Åsa threw a glas of wine at her.

Albin and Jaquline competed in swedish Idol, both in different years. Albin performed It must have been love, his best performance all season, so good in face he performed in the grand final when the theme in round 2 was my choice.

Fun fact Jay smith and smash into pices made a song together called boomerang and look at some jay smith in the idol from 2010 wont regret it

The Cazzi Opeia song you saw was from Melodifestivalen 2023. She is one of my favorites. Very good song writer as well.

For me I hope Dotter or Smash Into Pieces to win, of course I might get a new favorite from the debuts. Cazzi Opeia I know won't win but I hope she get success in the competition like top 5 or something at least and get notice more, she's underrated.
