In football the most important offensive skills are scoring, dribbling and playmaking. Ronaldo is in the conversation of being the greatest scorer. Messi is in the conversation of being the greatest scorer and playmaker, on top of easily being the greatest dribbler by a wide margin.

Mind you this video is BEFORE Messi won his 7,8th Balandor, World Cup, Copa America, Most trophies ever as a player- 44. Now the gap is HUGE. Other than goals for Real/UCL/National Cristiano can't touch Messi's acheavments. 7:46 Messi is statistically better in every stat outside headers but Cristiano fans care more about who they like more as a personality, not a player. Edit: After this video you should probably react to people who although nowhere near Cristiano and Messi still deserve a mention in our era like : Neymar, Iniesta, Modric, Ronaldinho, Xavi, Zlatan, Lewandrovski, Benzema, Mbappe, Haaland, De Broyne. I'd especially recommend Ronaldinho , Zidane and R9(Fenomeno) as they were my favourite players growing up before Leo Messi and can help you learn about the previous generation of greats before Messi and Cristiano but after Pele, Maradona, Di Stefano and Croyf.

For rational people that know a little about football, there's no serious comparison. Nothing against Ronaldo, he is phenomenal. But he is no comparison to Messi.

From my experience, a lot of Ronaldo fans don't understand football. Because you'll commonly hear them say "Ronaldo is the most COMPLETE PLAYER ever". But when you ask them why, they will ONLY talk about goalscoring. As if there is nothing more to the game. Messi being the Playmaker of the Decade with the most assists of all time AND scoring as many goals as Ronaldo while being the better dribbler, it's clear who is the most complete PLAYER.

first of all, this is Messi's fan made video, it puts the years when Messi was the best, so put the statistics from 2004. from VAEP put one year when Messi was the best, for the rest of the years mostly CR7 is in first place, secondly, Messi was good in Barca when he had God's team, when they left, could not win the Champions League because Messi is not a football player who carries the team but only pushes him while Ronaldo carried and pushed the team forward

Idk where you got that info about ronaldo always playing in better teams than messi but messi always played for barcelona professionally, ronaldo had to work his way up until he made it to real madrid.
