I recommend listening to the album "The defamation of Strickland Banks" by Plan B, its a lot more mature, and an amazing album all around. This track shows him in his younger years, its... yea, a bit different.

@@leoclark6340 This song has always resonated with me, I got myself in a bit of trouble when I was 17 because I hooked up with a girl who was 14 who I'd met in a club. In my defence the club was over 18's only (although the fact I'd got in should've been a clue their age checks weren't on point). It's hard sometimes, depending on the environment you meet them, you think meeting them in a club you can assume they're of consenting age, but with some girls it's hard to tell their age. Akon, Sorry Blame it on Me has always resonated for the same reason.

You should check out the defamation of Strickland banks it's plan b's concept album it tells the story of a musicians fall from grace to imprisonment after listening to it its almost as if you've watched a film it's completely different from what you have heard from him so far as he sings mostly on this one

Yes he shouldn't have done it. Yes he should have checked her ID. However young girls in the UK 🇬🇧 look way older than thier age : lots of make up, the way they dress, the way that they express themselves, the things they are exposed to on social media etc. etc. I'm confident its the same in the USA 🇺🇸 ! However, the bottom line is that HE DIDN'T KNOW she was just 14, let alone the fact that I don't agree that he should have been fornicating. In the final analysis, I thought it was a very honest track ( I'd like to hope its not true though). Its very cute in parts, like when he trips and she looks the other way (i can't say I'd have held it together...id have laughed and got it on camera lol). But ultimately, the kid didn't know her age. Period. So I pass no judgement, except for the fornicating. I'm 49 and found the track insightful and interesting, the commentary too. Bless up ❤ 🙏🏿😎☺
