The fortified area is indeed star shaped because Alba is a bastion fort. The star type fortifications are specific to the early Vauban fortresses, which inspired the builders of Alba Carolina because it was all the rage back in the 1700`s. Sebastian de Vauban was the chief military engineer and Marechal of France under Louis XIV. He built a set of 14 fortifications out of which 12 are now UNESCO World Heritage sites. The bastion fort, also known as also known as the "trace Italienne" was not his invention, he borrowed it from earlier builders, he just perfected it in his early work. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bastion_fort

Regarding Alba Iulia Citadel - Yes, the fortified area is star- shaped. In general, in Europe, the 'Old Town' area is preserved and the city grows around it. As for the green roof of the church in the Merry Cemetery, not that common (though the patterns do belong to the traditional art), but that was supposed to be 'Merry', so the colours are more vibrant than usual. In the mountains the snow will resist in the summer only on the highest areas. There are 4 seasons across all Romania, typical temperate climate.

Alba-Iulia - that is a star-shaped citadel, with diamond-shaped bastions. It was build by the Habsburg Empire in the XVIIIth century. The Transylvanian Alps - they mention the highest peak, but never showed it, or any alpine landscape (except a glimpse of the Transfăgărășan). It seems most of the video is made by attaching random images. They are beautiful, but not representative. The same with the Danube Delta.

It is not such a thing, Transylvanian Alps, but in the head o the western people. It's like I will say Himalayan Aspen or something like that.

A french geographer named them the Transylvanian Alps. Is a metaphor, not an official name. For your information, he draw the borders of Greater Romania after WW I.
