I spent a couple days on the American river chasing these siver bullets. I didn't catch many but still had a blast

Were you fishing in between the Sunrise and Fair Oaks Bridges or south of the foot bridge. We were still catching some by the foot bridge this past Friday at around 8pm though not in the middle of the day.

This is my neighborhood. It’s tough to catch fish here in the middle of the day. Shads are active early in the morning.

What part of the river is that? I live by rossmoor, this time of year I always think about putting down the bass rods and heading out there to try for some shad. Haven’t done it yet.

Next time can you save that squawfish for me, I smoke the tails and make a nice crispy BLT with them, along with the gills make a beautiful garnish on my Bloody Mary. Thanks, tight lines
