Good job. I gotta tell you, I really don't like 3" "dump valves/flappers. Designed for 1.8 GPF. I've had a lot of problems with them, and users hate to have to hold the handle down to get a decent flush. -

if you "spin" those silly plastic push-nuts after pushing them down, they will run down the threads and tighten up some, alternate push them down fully and bend the edge up and jam them in place.

I used double nut johnny bolts. That way I can tighten the johnny bolts to the flange. It keeps them straight and if you ever have to pull the toilet the whole bolt won’t just spin

Cb even better then that ratchet is the pass thru sockets. i have and use the ratchet , but i prefer the pass thru socket set

Just use a pair of electrical linesman pliers to cut the bolts. Easy peasy

What about the copper stub for the water supply, I'm pretty sure the I.P.C. calls for all exposed piping in a bathroom to be chrome finish for ease of cleaning and cleanliness ??

I always go with nut driver on the flange to bowl nuts, I can easily break a toilet that way if I wanted too, I think it's much easier when rushing and stressed to not think about breaking them :)

CB1, 2nd year apprentice here, what is that spring tool you put around the rigid chrome toilet supply? We do a lot of high end new construction houses and we use rigid supplies all the time and I would love to pick one of those up!

I never cut bolts until I add water and flush , just in case we have a wax ring problem .

that chrome pipe will leak,once the moron tenants start to toss their fat rumps around on the throne, as will the flange seal lol. then when cleaning (if they do) you'll be lucky they don't break the nut at fill valve or the fill valve itself (seen it before) lol

ATG suggests do not buy the one piece toilet, unless you want to hurt your back. Chuck Barron, you are not getting younger so one mistake & you got back pain for life. An easy installation of just $65.00. My daughter quit from $16/hr Costco and doing this. Many plumbers CAN NOT beat my daughter's price for helping homeowners during COVID-19.
