The show opens with the prayer and flag raising ceremony and the Star Spangled Banner played by Amelia Eisenhauer on her violin.
Joe interviews one of the organizers who tell us the history of the steam and draft horse power show that started with about a dozen men in 1959 to bring the steam engine and horse power to the younger population.
We see lots of footage of static exhibits of vintage steam tractors and other steam powered equipment. Antique tractors of all makes and models are shown.
We watch as two teams plow a field. One team is two mules pulling a plow. the second team is a 6 horse hitch powered by Haflingers. Joe talks to the teamster of this hitch about his two-bottom plow and how the eveners need to be adjusted for the team size and soil conditions to get the optimal line-of-draft.
Joe talks to an old timer about his life on the farm and working in a threshing crew. He says it took 17 men to run the equipment and many women to cook the food to keep them going. He also talks about his experiences since age eight with draft horses and farming.
We end the show with the person string band performing for the visitors.
