in this video, i take my american boyfriend to try 2014's award winning BEST new zealand mince and cheese pie for the first time. we are yet to find 2022's award winning pies. let us know hehe. he is super excited about the food culture in new zealand so we will be trying more food!

It reminds me when i knew my boyfriend (Now my fiancé) eleven years ago. The first five years we have a long distance relationship (We live between 100KM and 450 KM given the year). Each time we met we were so excited, and when i knew we would live together i was uncontrollable, because i was soooooo happy.

Every time someone said to would you like a mince pie and they pulled out that tart thing I would automatically say that's not a mince pie 😒🤢

I remember this one time when my family and I visited my grandad when he lived on a boat and he asked me " do you want a mince pie kiddo? " I said yes thinking it was a mince and cheese pie because I hadn't eaten all day so I was hungry. When he came out with a big 12 pack of FRUIT mince pies, and I was so disappointed but I didn't want to show it so I took two and so at them into the water 😂😂😂

If you land in Auckland go to the BLUE ROSE Sandringham, it's a fusion of different cultures mainly Maori and Pacific island food's put into a pie
