Them twin stick shifters are a great idea. the second stick could be mapped to do a lot of other functions like Jake brake, map, escape button, enter hold( while fueling up), music player, take picture, etc. The lighted CB is a cool add on, missed the days when people used cb's.

Thanks so much for your kind words bud. Happy to see there’s more 50 something people out there and we gotta stick together. Lol . I’m using a G29 wheel in my set up. I was bored one day and had the idea to cover it up with kitchen cupboard or drawer liner material which is very easy to work with, tacks on with a glue gun well and can be removed with minimal damage. The wheel itself i searched high and low for. I refused to spend 500 bucks on a wheel and finally found this more affordable one. Found it on EBay..... www.ebay.ca/itm/304173977021... So far so good and have had no issues with my G29 even with the larger wheel and heavier.

Hello. My wheel is a standard G29 model which i custom covered with upholstery. The wheel is also equipped with a turn lever kit which is no longer available but a newer version is available. The kit includes a new mounting hub for any wheel you may wish to install. Here is link to the turn lever kit. www.amazon.ca/Obokidly-Upgrade-Simulator-Steering-Logitech/dp/B09M699FCV/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1G9A1MFY9AH1W&keywords=g29%2Bsteering%2Bwheel%2Bturn%2Bsignal%2Bkit&qid=1646517288&sprefix=g29%2Bsteering%2Bwheel%2Bturn%2Bsignal%2Bkit%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-3&th=1. Very nice setup. Just missing 3 monitor or tv setup. Got about. 1200+ hrs myself in ATS. Got g29 wheel, pedals, TH8a shifter and SKRS add on shifter. Does your tablet. Display speed and RPM info? How you do that? Yeah I got old Ipad air 2 that starting die, ( battery is just about dead) and not worth getting battery replaced. Was wondering if could find some app that would display either gps or speed/rpm display for ATS.
@Kinghauler2012 Жыл бұрын
The tablet display is using a program called Sim dashboard to capture the telemetry from the game. Only thing is, it’s an android program and iPads won’t work for that. Just a cheap basic Samsung tablet for instance will work. And the app is amazing, you can choose which gauges you want , where you want them etc. also provides a gps map if you desire but will not include your current route but will display the map if you know what i mean. Sim dashboard.

So in theory, could I do a setup in a Peterbilt 379 cab, because I have an old parts truck with a mostly intact 379 can I could use?
@Kinghauler2012 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Ive got a neighbour with a scrapped 80’s western star that I’m going to take the dash out and upgrade my set up . :) It might not be my personal preference for a truck dash but they were simple and not too large back then. Should fit my space nicely. And yes, there are companies offering software and kits to enable a person to make all the dash gauges functional. Digital or analog.

Did I miss where you mentioned what the wheel and wheelbase is? The wheel, frankly, to me, looks real. Wonder what it is, and how you've connected it.
@Kinghauler201211 ай бұрын
The wheel is a G29 which I added a turn signal kit onto. Then I had a 14” custom wheel on it and at a later date I went for it and put a 18” real truck wheel on it. Surprisingly enough, after over a year, it’s still working good even with big wheel on it. The turn lever kit came with its own wheel adapter plate so it’s a one of kinda set up and that lever kit is no longer available so hard to explain or share a link to it.
@Kinghauler201211 ай бұрын
And forgot to mention I used some material to cover up the entire G29 wheel base to try and make it look real……I guess I succeeded eh? :) thanks for leaving a comment. Appreciate it. I’m curious what steering setup that is, been looking for one to buy lately and nothing looks good, but the wheel, pedals, and shifter looks like they work for you.
@Kinghauler2012Ай бұрын
The wheel base is a G29 and then I added a turn signal kit, modified the hub to fit the big heavy wheel. Many people said I would burn out or break the G29 by mounting such a heavy wheel. Even myself I wasn’t sure what would happen thought it might be too much. But here we are over two years have gone by now. I use the rig on a weekly basis and no troubles at all.
@Kinghauler2012Ай бұрын
And I’ve updated the pedals since that video. Here’s one that shows the new improved pedals which I love and are very comfortable now. Those are g29 pedals which I took out of plastic container , flipped and mounted myself. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qLKciaadnM_WlKM.htmlsi=86-7uOTQdg_iCnRj
