Marcelito is just a cabaret act. Dimash is the complete deal. He has been practising daily since he was four, highly educated in music with a bachelor's, and master's degree in music, and not far off his doctorate in music. He's a composer, multi-instrumentalist, screenwriter, producer, and director

No disrespect to Marcelito but Dimash is another level entirely. This song is just the tip of the iceberg. Listen to Stranger from New Wave 2021 as that is a song written specifically for him and his range. He sings in English in that one. The Story of One Sky is a vocal and visual masterpiece. And he sings it live in concert as well. A Dear (that’s what he calls his fans because we are dear to him like family) from 🇨🇦. Also a RENegade as well. Talent is talent is talent.

Dimash NEVER sounds like the covers he does. He always does it much better, which is why some of the artists he covers, never allow him to cover their song more than once! Dimash is an amazing composer! He’s also an amazing multi instrumentalist! He is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time. Marcelito does not have any original songs he’s just an impersonator and he’s self taught. Dimash has been trained at music school then studied music at university since the age of 5. He still has 3-4 hours of vocal coaching every day by world class vocal coaches. Dimash has two degrees in singing and a masters in composition where he received a perfect score. He’s currently studying for his doctorate in Musicology. (He’ll probably get a perfect score in that too!) His music videos are all incredible! The Story of One Sky (he wrote the screenplay and the music, which is a 13 1/2 minute masterpiece (the most expensive music video ever produced, at over 7 million of Dimash’s own money)) and his live performance is also amazing of the song! When you watch the video, I’m sure you’ll say he couldn’t possibly sing it live. But he can! The premier live performance in September 2022, at his Almaty solo concert to an audience of 40,000, was the day before the music video release.

Hitting high notes isn't that rare. Hitting them a d sustaining them with full quality and beauty if tone. Not to mention his ability to easily transition from octave to octave without missing quality or control. Dimash has a command of his voice unheard of. His delivery, phrasing, timing, timbre, power and control is without peer. Marcelito has a common quality with a wide range. He or Vitas do not possess the quality or emotional impact. You haven’t heard anything yet (he sings operatic songs, pop songs and even raps) there’s so much more to discover ! And his amazing personality is a whole another thing too 🫶 To me he’s a better singer than Pomoy because he has insane, classical-level vocal technique (he’s trained since the age of 5, has a master in composition and a doctorate in musicology) which allows him to do pretty much everything he wants and to always sound good, and he’s so good at conveying emotion. His songs in his native language (Kazakh) are incredible. He’s an amazing human being (which to me matters for artists I listen to). As a bonus he’s good-looking and super tall which ngl, his feminine fanbase does appreciate quite a lot 😂 tysm for reacting !! Fun fact : this isn’t even his highest (or his lowest), there he went up to an E6 but his highest head voice is F6-F#6, he can sing Mozart’s Queen of the Night soprano aria (arguably the highest aria in the history of opera) in its original key.

I think that what you perhaps meant is that Dimash is not only a singer, but he tells stories and transmits the emotions of the songs, he is a true original artist passionate about his art. And Dimash is not just about range, he doesn't have wide range in every song, very far from it. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. The Dimash rabbit hole is truly like no other. He was my go to until there was Ren. But this reminds me that there is no voice, no performer, on one that compares to Dimash. Ever. His IS the voice of God. Get ready for a years worth of holy sh!t. Edited: he is fluent in like 14 languages. And he will sing in those languages. “The Story of One Sky” is a 13 minute masterpiece built from scratch. You better reserve an hour for that one. No words for that one. Marcelito definitely deserves our appreciation of what he can do with his voice despite his very limited music education (if there is any), and he surely is an amazing guy. But Dimash is non-comparable because is highly educated in music and he does things with high precision that even vocal coaches cannot cope up with his techniques sometimes. Dimash is an inspiration to many singers to perfect their craft. A group of Korean boys once said that Dimash's vocal cords should be taken out and be studied by medical doctors to find out what's in there.

Guys, watch the official video of The Story of One Sky. Only Dimash can make a music video that's like a movie and his composition is epic. As a videographer you'll love all his music videos. He does some of the directing himself. He's a total artist on every level.

A prime example of Dimash riffing will be in “Daybreak Bastau”, and also in “Know”. Another great example of Dimash’s range will be in “Stranger”; Lower lows and higher highs!!! Listening to Dimash got me through lockdown. HOURS of listening. He's amazing. Like Ren, he took me down a whole lot of other rabbit holes along the way. Dimash is original. He does covers, but he doesn't sound like anyone but himself. Original and wonderful arrangements. Good man, too. SOS is considered to be one of the top five most difficult songs in the French repertoire. There's a live version of him singing for a small group in France, and he got a standing ovation - pretty insane since they would have been critical of pronunciation and are protective of the star who made this popular (and who died very young). To me, it isn't just about Dimash's range - but his control and the beauty of his tone in each of his voices.

About the castrati, they could sing really high as their voice didn't develop (due castration)and stay as prepubescent, but they couldn't reach the low registers easily, if at all. At the age of 5, Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! You guys are right, Marcelito has talent but it’s an imitation, Dimash doesn’t imitate anyone, others try to imitate Dimash, completely honest. Great guest!! I agree with him. It is not fair to compare Marcelito with Dimash, they are different and each one does very well. Dimasj is in another league, if you saw more performances you would realize how many octaves I was able to jump in the most natural way I've ever seen, he does pop, contemporary opera, ballads, folk music, he is very versatile and for me IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE IN THE WORLD.

Dimash is in a league of his own. He started his music training when he was 5 years old. He has his doctorate degree in music. Please do STRANGER, THE STORY OF ONE SKY , EL AMOR EN TI. Now that you have been Dimashed, its time to head down the rabbit hole. I found both Marcelito and Dimash in late 2017. I believe Marcelito did the Prayer in late December. Dimash came on line around the same time. I like both singers but Dimash is so much more versatile. Dimash speaks at least five languages, sings in 12, writes, produces, acts (The Story of One Sky), and is a great human being. There is a version of SOS where he is presented an award which he dedicates and gives to his grand mother. She took him to his singing lessons every day (walked) even though she had problems with her legs. I guarantee you will be amazed and surprised by every performance you watch. Lastly you most likely will realize how dedicated his fans (Dears) are and you will receive more comments than virtually all artists you have reacted to to date. Suggest you watch “Stranger” next.

I totally agree. Dimash is the greatest voice, Macilito is the greatest imitator. Both are great in their own ways. I hold both as the greatest in their own style.

An original song you really must experience is The Story Of One Sky released in 2022. This amazing piece was sung by Dimash live at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan the night before it’s release.
