The #29 Stockyard Whittler is the one GEC that I would LOVE to own. I keep missing out on them when they're in stock but I hope to own one some day in snake wood or bloodwood. I'm in love with that #29 though!

If you look around at various retailers online you will find a few. The bloodwood is very pretty, but if you ask me, the blood red jigged bone is the prettiest.

Jeff Smith Jim is right. There are a few places with some in stock. GEC’s site has a list of retailers. I’d run down the list and do a check. They did do one in snakewood, but that one did sell quickly. I haven’t looked the retailers over super closely, but any of the places I’ve looked the snakewood has been sold out.

Congrats to whoever wins, the past year I’ve bought a few rough rider patterns and one of them was this, still not sure if I would carry a gec or a case if I dropped the cash though so it’s nice to try all the patterns for cheap

Another feature they share is they all have endcaps where the number of lines match the number on the bolster.

That's a lovely color bone. I grabbed the Osage Orange version. I kind of wish I'd waited for the UNXLD version, but you never know if you'll be able to get one because the go so fast on some pattern. I'm happy with mine though.

Very nice bone color. Have you ever done any carving? I’m thinking of taking a trip out to the Case/Zippo museum. Anything I should be looking at?

ratride1 I’ve toyed around when I’m in the mountains. It’s the only time I feel like doing it. I’m not a big Case guy. People like the seahorse Whittler.

Question: How does one get knives from the American Whittler site? All I ever see on there is what appears to be blog posts with no way to even sign up for any list of sorts like a notification list, let alone a way to purchase.

David Doerr I signed up for the newsletter/notification list years ago. Emails don’t come often, but they do come. The contact info for the SFO commissioners are also listed on the GEC website. They’re all pretty nice people. Even if you just send them a random email with questions, they all are pretty good at getting back to you.
