I was working outside with my ipod on today. This song came on. I really like the studio version of this song.

Man she's gota win, I just cant stop watching her videos, her voice and style is amazing.

The track of this song is amazing. This song has never been one of my favorites, but she really made me love it. Every time I hear it on my ipod or in itunes, I am amazed.

Haley has so much unbelievable control of her voice. Her run around the judges is proof. I thought she nailed this song and Randy made a fool of himself.

I couldn't tell if Elise's or Haley's version was better, until Haley belts that last note. Nonetheless I love both of them.

Haley is so good that she has been coasting most of her life. When push comes to shove what out. You get WOW. JLo is correct, when you push Haley you get fantastic results with the right song.

Why everyone is so stupid saying that she's grown so much from this performance! This is among her best vocal performances and what a masterclass! The modulations... just amazing! She's giving a fresh take on a cheesy Whitney song but everyone includin judges were so stupid and putting her in the bottom 3!

She obviously doesn't have the power of Whitney's voice, but she still took this song and put her own flavor to it. It was good, in my opinion. I think she should try some jazzier songs or even a rock song in the coming weeks. She's definitely my fave girl this season.

I like that she didn't sing this song to try to sound like Whitney Houston. I think she did awesome because she sounded like HALEY!! The judges are always telling contestants to make the songs their own and that is what Haley did and I completely enjoyed it

Jimmy made a very wrong move forcing Elise to sing this song. I bet she would've rocked Greatest Love of All. Hayley set the bar high with this one.

I dunno. I find Haley's voice more jazzy and the Kate Bush influence is less obvious. But maybe that's just me

Haley was the only reason that I watched the show. I was super-pissed when she got beat out by a C& W singer that can only sing C & W. That outraged me to where I don't even want to watch American Idol anymore

Yes, I liked the recorded version of this song very much. She made me like this song because of her unique interpretation of it. I didn't even like the Whitney version. Haley is cool. She injects her unique style into all the songs she does.

I don't see how you can say this was rigged. Sure, Casey, Haley, Stefano, etc could all be considered better than Lauren/Scotty, but the voters are southern moms and 14 year old girls. Scotty and Lauren were bound to be Final 3.

Look at the audience...that tells the whole story. If it had been 50% men it would've been much more enthusiastic.. I heard the Whitney Houston version of this song and have to say Haley's is much better. A very under-rated performance.

now i was a lauren fan last season (don't attack me). But i was really impressed with haley's later performances and improvement (her personal pick top 3 and rolling in the deep r my favs from her) and wanted a Haley/Lauren finale. But this was not strong 4 her voice and didnt have as much power as some of her other performances. But in a sea of great songs from haley this is not as memorable.

No need too.gr better than anyone she covered on idol. They are all covers. That all the contestants can sing on there. Whitney's name shouldn't even come up. Or Adele or Joplin. She had to cover someone....geesh people. Haley is a new talent singer songwriter. Her album is about to be big. Her bank account too. Girl just signed an international publishing deal....before her album debut. That speaks miles for the talent she is....not any covert she HAD to do to get recognition. im just saying.

Actually, that was a pretty good performance. The problem was the judges on American Idol were so damn clueless. Nevertheless, what makes it such a good performance is Haley didn't try to emulate Whitney Houston. Instead, she brought jazz to the performance and tried to show off her creative musicality. Unfortunately, it sailed right over the heads of the ignorant judges.

Haley is better than Elise in fact Elise sings all the song similar to Haley's that is why we all know who Elise is looking up to haha

its ok u guys...3rd place isnt that bad...especially after the whole show this season was rigged...they knew who they wanted to win and so they cheated...and im sure lauren didnt beat haley...i mean lauren is a good singer but haley is way better...same goes to scotty...but yeah it was rigged.

@nsync48 excellent singer? he was gimmicky as hell, and not nearly technically as strong either. From the beginning, I always thought he was the weakest singer. In fact, i'd rather he had gone home first instead of ashthon, who can at least pull off a vibratto
