Fun Fact: the reason there are shark attacks in “landlocked” states is because the Mississippi River actually has bull sharks that occasionally swim upriver and very rarely attack swimmers and fishermen.

For example, The problem is Staties (Americans) , when asked about my country (Brazil) basically only says "rio de janeiro" "carnival" "football" and "amazonia" When only 1 of 27 sub regions is rio de janeiro, one of the smalest, at the minor side of the top When only rio de janeiro and Bahia are really domminated by carnival, while theres AT LEAST 6 other big festivities, like June festivals in the northeast When our country isnt a bunch of football stars, but rather it is divided between fanatical FANS, and sensible people who hate it when the World Cup paralyzes the country, although they still support our country When only 50%~ of our TOTAL territory (not populated territory ) is the main Rainforest in the world, while here there are still 6 more biomes, 4 of which represent more Brazilian life than the rainforest THAT IS THE PROBLEM, and what defines our right to stereotype you, especially because our stereotypes are much more accurate with reality than yours

I once saw an Australian comedy show where they went to NYC and interviewed people on the street. One of the questions they asked the fine people of New York was "Name a country that starts with the letter U." They had to actually explain to a couple people that "United States of America" starts with a U. (That being said, you could make a solid argument that actually the name starts with a T, as the country was originally called The United States of America).

@redfish337

The flaw in the metric system is: "Divide this meter into THREE perfectly equal sections." It can't even get to 3 without becoming clunky because 10 factors so poorly. The flaw in the imperial system is that it was made for specific local systems and it wasn't really properly designed for general use in other systems. The CONCEPT behind imperial is still good though... even people who are metric supremacists still use it afterall. When they tell time.
