I always thought "corpsing" as a term for laughter was related to the phrase people use when they say " they were dying with laughter". Like when you fall out of your seat and onto the floor laughing so hard you can't catch your breath and tears are streaming for your eyes.

Early morn as in "Up at the crack of dawn"? Corpsing may have got its name because in acting they say the worst time to get the giggles is when playing a corspe but it isn't certain. Others say its because once you get the giggles it kills the scene for a long time until the actor(s) can regain their composure and another explanation is they say the actor is "dead on their feet" because the giggles is literally killing their skills to act. Some actors are known for TRYING to get other actors to corpse during a scene and see it as a trophy to be earned to get someone like Tom Hanks or Robert De Niro to corpse during a scene. If you wanna see corpsing at its finest, watch mark benton in "Catterick Outtakes". The scene about the garden centre has him in hysterics for a LONG time and they even have empty the room so only the actor, sound man and camera man are in the room.

Love the channel! You clearly enjoy Inbetweeners. Can I suggest 'Plebs'. Originally on UK channel ITV. Three young men get into various scrapes. Set in Ancient Rome with a reggae soundtrack. It may sound odd, but it works and has a similar extreme sense of humour to Inbetweeners. In my opinion it started going downhill after series 3 when one of the 3 leads was replaced.

I thought corpsing (at least originally) was when nerves or inexperience made someone freeze up on stage and fail to deliver their lines...maybe now it just means dying on stage whether laughter, forgetting lines or freezing up I don't know, we need someone here who's in theatre to tell us I think....or I could just google it, yeah i'll do that. (Edit: yeah thats pretty much what it means).

After you finish watching them , there is the Inbetweeners movie to watch. The Inbetweeners were a long time ago now and some of the language would no long be shown on TV. I would recommend you reacting to Sex Education after Inbetweeners which with more diverse characters .Its a more up to date school comedy. Ncuti Gatwa the Black actor , who plays the black gay guy at the school is brilliant and funny. There is Gillian Anderson from the X files plays a mother of the main character and is sex therapist is also very funny . Def recommend it to you.
