The bar at around the 6:00 mark was "how'd they get birded for stealing purses", bird is slang for a jail sentence, people say they've been birded as in sent to prison, or they're doing bird, meaning they're doing their sentence. It's cockney rhyming slang, been used for decades, comes from bird lime, something used to trap birds. It's a double meaning, being rhyming slang, bird lime rhymes with time, hence the origin.
