Jessi is literally that person that does not give a f*ck, you can tell by her music and her personality on shows. Lots of people like that she’s real and she’s not afraid to express what she’s thinking and things like that, She finally reached the success she’s been working hard for when she signed with PNation which is run by Psy (Gangnam style) I think you guys would like Who dat b, cold blooded, what type of X, and Nunu nana 😄

Hi guys, since u were so curious Jessi is 33y and she is from NY/NJ. She did move to Korea when she was 14-15y and debuted as a vocalist (Jessica HO) initially, and then a rapper in a group called Uptown however did not do well and almost gave up. Years later, she moved back to Korea and redebuted in a group called Lucky J. She then gained recognition as a rapper after she took part in a survival show Unpretty rapster (competing with other female rappers), following which her group disbanded and she redebuted as Jessi. While she did make a couple hits, she still struggled to achieve mainstream success until she joined P-Nation (Psy's company) with her hit song "Nunu Nana" and ever since produced hits like "What type of X", "Cold Blooded". She is always grinding so its finally great to see her success. Even now though she still maintains that she is a vocalist first before being a rapper. Apart from the above songs, would also suggest that you check out her "Killing Voice:Dingo" - she sings a few songs from her discography here, or you could just react to the songs: Arrived, Spirit Animal, Down, Who Dat B, Drip, Numb

Jessi was more backup singer for Yoonmirae ( Natasha Reid )'s group. Jessi considered herself more a singer then a rapper. Uptown included : Chris Jung, Carlos Galvan, Steve Kim and Tasha Reid(Yoon Mirae). The other members of Uptown were Jessi, Maniac Snacky Chan and Jessi current labelmate Swings in P nation. Around when Jessi was 15 years old Yoonmirae and her group took Jessi in. They took care of her until the group broke up. Jessi still to this day looks up Yoonmirae as a older sister and gives gives credit to Tasha in her song Star. Yoonmirae and Tiger JK brought in American hip-hop to Korea and has a big influence to modern Korea hip-hop of today .Yoonmirae is the first woman rapper in Korea since the late 90s. Her father is African American and mother is Korean Jessi has been in the industry for about 17-18 years now.

A lot of people in the comments already explained but I do wanna add remember how KOREA is such a conservative country ? Well Jessi is on a list of a few Korean idols who beat or defy Korea’s standard societal norms and if you ever watch her interviews and stuff you’d see why. She still has the American attitude esp the New York in her. She openly curses and will say anything that comes to mind and ain’t ever GAF.. and actually shocks idols with how she is lol. International western stans live for her but when she first got to Korea people use to be so shocked with how she acted more then than now. Also, her videos are not like the KPOP videos u know of Jessi tends to b more explicit sometimes which is normal for us but in a country like Korea is a culture shock so yea she always breaks norms there. Also no she didn’t know that much Korean so she had to learn alot of it and even now alot of idols she knows who see her will say “wow your Korean has gotten much better”. Another KPOP idol you should react to that also breaks Korean standards is Hyolyn!!!! She is Korean born and RAISED there tho I’m pretty sure but her videos are def another type of spicy too. React to her MV “DALLY”!

Sorry if i'm out of the topic. I just want to tell that SECRET NUMBER 3rd comeback (4th single album) is coming soon in June, 8, 2022 with "DOOMCHITA" as a tittle track. Their B-side songs is "HOLA". The member that participate on this song is Jinny (written the lyrics) and Minji (compossed the song).
