There is no human attacks reported by tigers since I remember. But ofcourse, leopard attacks happened 2/3 times in around 10- 15 years. Until now no tourists get attcked by any lethal animals. Despite all these facts, do not attempt a self guided trip if you are not confident. I can assure you as a keralite you can feel kerala as an entirely alian state from other indian parts in a good way.
