in this episode, Chinese mom, chinese Father, daughter are main character becoZ it is chinese new year, when comes hari raya, malay will become main character.. and next like deepavali... and maybe guy in da bus and guy in da police station will be main character during hari raya.. and the indian bus driver will come later as well... love the video, love the reaction..

The mixing food in the bowl is called Yee Sang... I'm a Malay... I love Yee Sang. The Halal Chinese or any Oriental restaurants here serve Yee Sang during this festive season... Some of them runs for a month; or at least they stock up the delicacies for that long. So you can stuff up your belly for as much as you like for as long as you like... I believe the reason they mix it up and brings it up as high as you can symbolises prosperity... the higher you do it the more ones prosper. Correct me if I'm wrong. Wow...so nice to see you guys really digging into this super wonderful masterpiece that is once again produced by Petronas! In Malaysia, everyone is practically no strangers as long as we have close bond, that is why you shouldn't be surprised if younger people call you 'uncle' even if you are not related! Petronas is considered as having the best ads in Malaysia. Year after year coming up with memorable ads. This though seems to be on another level. Fun fact: i think Adam's character is a Sabahan. He has the Sabah accent.

Hari Raya may fall on 3rd of May... Hari Raya Haji falls in July. We have 2 rayas... Aidilfitri or Puasa commemorates with the celebration of Eid or after Ramadan. Raya Haji is celebration of Hajj/Pilgrimage. Technically hari raya translated as hari = day. Raya = celebrate. ie Day of celebration

Hmm..from what I know from some Malay linguistic student, raya means big that's why we have hantu raya mean big ghost. So hari raya is big day. :)

I'm wondering why day 32..then it will continue on day 123.. I just noticed that day 32 on this year is February 1st; which is Chinese New Year. Day 123 is May 3rd; which is Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (the celebration for Muslim community after fasting for one month). Looks like you have to wait until May 3rd for the next episode. There will be 7 episodes all together. 😊😊♥♥

Hi guys.. FYI Hari Raya Puasa is another name for Hari Raya Aidilfitri (where people are fasting for 1 month straight). So the next episode is gonna be in May 2022 Hari Raya Haji on the other hands is celebration of people performing Hajj in Mecca. There are 2 different Hari Raya

CNY this year was 1st Feb. January has 31 days which would make 1st Feb = day 32. Raya is on 3rd May, and if you add the days up to it; (Jan) 31 + (Feb) 28 + (March) 31 + (Apr) 30 + (May) 3 = day 123. They wrote in the description of the video that it's a 7 episode story that covers the 7 major holidays in Malaysia. My guess for the 7 would be: 1) CNY 2) Raya Aidilfitri 3) Gawai 4) Independence Day 5) Malaysia Day 6) Deepavali 7) Christmas

The tossing of the food on the plate is done only during Chinese New Year and was invented by Malaysian Chinese. I think now you can also get it in Hong Kong. The stuffs on the plate could be fruits or just dried shredded vegetables which have been coloured. Then the mixture of plum sauce and honey and veg oil are poured over the mixture. Some have slices of raw salmon or crunchy jelly fish added to it. The higher you toss the veg or fruits, the more wealth or happiness or whatever you wish for the year, better probability of having your wish(es) will come true. So while you toss, you just need to shout out your wishes.
