Baahubali means the one with strong arms. SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani - combination of the decade. Keeravani is the only music director of all Rajamouli films. He is Rajamouli’s cousin brother. When Baahubali released, we all were mesmerised by his majestic background score and songs. Their combination is always so brilliant. You can see their magic even in RRR

I will try to clear your doubts. As I told Baahubali means strong arms. His lineage has those strong genetics. The same genetics were passed down to Junior Baahubali. Royals were believed to be buffed, strong as hell in Indian stories and history. This type of character showing is common in Indian films. The director always wants his main lead to be larger than life. The rebellion leader who believed straight away in Avanthika’s lover is because of the past incidents which made him believe that love has a great faith. The lightning struck while Junior Baahubali was journeying to Mahishmati to save his mother in the song, because of the actual interval which was cancelled later. The actual interval is - that one soldier who recognised Baahubali in the snow fight would actually go and tell the King that he saw Baahubali. But the King’s father disagrees saying that we killed him. The King’s father told the soldier how they killed Baahubali using five elements - fire, water, air, earth and space. While the King’s father explains with each element, Junior Baahubali crosses the each element - a cinematic way of the director. That’s why they planned the lightning out of no where. They later cancelled this scene. The Kalakeyas found a way to crush the Mahishmati defence is because of the traitor who sold the Mahishmati military tactics to Kalakeyas. Deleted scene 2 - When Baahubali failed to jump at the start of the movie, a monkey too jumps with him and monkey succeeds. And when Baahubali was thinking about the mask, the monkey returns with some clothes and ornaments. Baahubali after seeing those, came to an assumption of those clothes and jewellery belonged to a woman. So he drew a woman of his imagination with the ornaments he saw. Director wanted that scene to be included but due to some issues the scene was removed. This was a culture followed in India - when a King or a royal warrior dies, his sword would be covered in a red powder which is called kunkuma as paying a tribute to his contribution. The same was shown when Kattapa removed senior Baahubali’s sword from kunkuma. They use kunkuma and turmeric powder for auspicious events like while erecting Bhallaladeva‘s statue

Ok, that makes more sense. In Hollywood movies, a lot of characters who have extraordinary abilities usually come with an up-front explanation, but this definitely helps going forward for future movies like this one. Also, thanks for sharing the insight of the director and how the stories are created. We love how thoughtful everything is, and the pain staking details that go into making the film. I am curious, are the hero's strong in all of the movies, or just the big epics like this one? Thanks for sharing your insight!

Kattappa keeping Shiva's foot over is head is not slavery there is something related to it in second part. and bahubali treats kattapa as his own never ever he sees him as his slave.

At the statue raising the bahubali hold is just part of the side rope not entirely........that shows he has the strength of a particular man collectively but not that much unnatural super power which can hold the entire statue.

In the early part of the movie with the weapon merchant, Kattappa describes his loyalty to the royalty and throne established from a promise from his ancestors and cant even be bought with any amount of money. In this movie the Words of a promise bears its weight and is an unbreakable vow to be upheld at all cost. In Indian cinema their Main characters are generally labeled as "the Hero" who almost always gets the girls, who may fall but eventually overcome and win at the end, and "super powers" are generally what lets both the "Hero" & "Villain" Stand out and also to make the virtue or moral of their storyline stand out abit more too... So super human strength, Super human intelligence are a common troupe for these characters to display. With Great power comes great responsibility. Can wait for your reactions for the conclusion.

Because you are surprised about the music/dance numbers. It is standard in Indian films to have them included, even in action movies. Sometimes they include them in festivities, parties, etc. as in RRR. But otherwise you have them like here just somewhere with changes in costume (where it does not really make sense). Don't let critics ruin your decisions!

We did look for the Telugu option, but it wasn't available to us. Is Tamil similar to Telugu? I think that was an option, but we didn't know outside of the Hindi option. Thanks for your help and for watching!

@@CocktailFlicksI don't know if the voice will be good in Tamil. I saw a scene in Malayalam dub and Bahu's voice was not deep enough and felt weak. The Telugu was felt better to me. But I think the Hindi dub contains the original actor's voice.

Original story of bahubali is consistent of 8 novels . These movies are based 7-8 part of the novel . Befor this two there is chain of stories. Start from 1) rise of shivgami 2) chaturanga 3) queen of maheshmati 4) turnament of warriors 5) bahubali the lost legends 6) crown of blood 7) bahubali the beginning 8) bahubali the conclusion

We have reacted to it, but you may not like it, because we accidently reacted to the english dubbed version, instead of the Hindi version. We may go back one day to re-do the reaction in Hindi. It was a really good movie though.

I love how Western guys try indian films and laugh at the dramatic and hero elevation scenes...its deep rooted in the culture of cinema here....i dont expect u guys to understand but u dont need to watch to just laugh through it. Go watch ur Conjuring and Marvel movies cuz ur okay by those super natural but r mocking n r dismissive of some other cinema. Just don't watch it for views and baiting, try it when u genuinely want to explore cinema as an universal language with a open mind. Disappointed, please dont watch any indian movies unless u feel like doing really. Laughing through out the movie, mocking it and wondering why is it so dramatic?Maybe it isnt for you, find something better.

This may be a misunderstanding. We certainly did not intend to mock, but laughing can be a mechanism used when you don't know how else to respond. You're right, we don't understand, but that doesn't mean we didn't enjoy the movie, and we are learning more about Indian films the more we watch. This movie has been very educational so far. Marvel movies explain the hero's super powers up front, Where as We had to rely on our audience to understand why The protagonist and Antagonist have their strength. The good news is, now we know to expect that in major Indian epics going forward. I am sorry if you did not like our reaction, we will try to do better next time. Thanks for watching with us!
