For a week in mid-February, a hard freeze throughout Texas led to outages that left millions without power and water. Some Central Texas farmers and ranchers had their livelihoods threatened by crop and livestock losses. "We learn to roll with the punches," said Deydra Steans, a fourth-generation cattle rancher. "There is not a lot of time for sitting and sulking...a lot of times we just jump in and go.”
