I watched "Tage Danielsson om sannolikhet" for the first time. Here's my reaction.

Tage was so intelligent and very funny, a true entertainer that we lost far too early due to cancer.

I'm surpised that you haven't reacted to Tage Danielsson and Hasse Alfredson. They were the best Swedish comedians ever. And they also made a lot of fantastic songs, sometimes sung by themselves, sometimes by Monika Zetterlund and others. And these songs are not only very comic, but sometimes also have a deep meaning. React to their wonderful song "Ett glas öl" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrKRasaovs2Zaas.html. Or "Electricitetsvisan" including a very erotic verse) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdmCpNuHvbiRfmQ.html. Or "Norgevisan" (singing about "Norge det är ett ruttet land and so on" - causing big headlines on the fronpages in Norway the next day, declaring "Now It's War!" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdmCpNuHvbiRfmQ.html performed by the fictive Helmer Bryd Eminent Five Quartet.

It used to be played on radio too, so people saved it on their tape recorder to play for each other. You could also buy it on vinyl. That's how viral spread worked in the past.

Yes that was exactly what I did. I recorded a lot on tapes. But unfortunately I threw the tapes away in my latest move. 😥 I love Hasse Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson. So clever and fun satire. Tage started his carrer already during his studies in Uppsala at Östgöta Nation Student organisation. I heard at lot of that and saw some fun photos. 🤪

Hasse & Tage var roliga med politisk udd. Men också lättsamt tramsiga. Gjorde ett otal revyer och filmer under 60- och 70-talet. Fantastiska!

You need to know the background to this, about the swedish popular vote about nuclear energy in 1980 and the Harrisburg/Three mile island accident in 1979, vote yes or no or inbetween...

Some 30 years ago, there was a TV program called Razzel that tried to decide the funniest clip ever in TV/Movie history. They had several clips every show you could phone in to vote for, including semi finals and final. That meant that the best ones were shown several times so more or less the whole of Sweden had seen them. I'd say that absolutely everyone from perhaps 50 years old and upwards know all those clips and will call them classics.

Caramelldansen next? Nice 👍 Funnily enough Caramelldansen became for some reason very popular in Japan of all countries. So, in addition to being a Swedish viral classic its also a Japanese meme

Daniel Norgren is not one of the most well known artists but an insane talent well worth reacting to, I suggest "Daniel Norgren - Why May I Not Go Out And Climb The Trees? (Live on KEXP)".

The first viral (underground) videos i know from Sweden was Elaka Rune & Sune, it got passed away in the early 90's through edgy teens VHS cassettes. They rereleased it with a new part in 2005 though. Kind of like how South Park got around first.

Lol that Bill Maher comment. I used to really like him. I've never seen anyone turn *that* crusty so quickly. Such a shame. Anyway, as others have mentioned, check out some Hasse & Tage if you wanna see some more intelligent old school Swedish humor. I don't know how well the humor holds up today, but at the same time some political topics are always relevant. Also the movie YRROL if you haven't seen it. ;D
