I left in july 1978. The US DOLLAR was 90 Sierra Leonean cent. Years later my incle finally got my number and called me to say things were desperate there I sent him $200 I can't remember the millions of Leones that came to. So sad. That a rich country like can be so poor.

Amie Kallon's music truly shines when embraced in its purest essence, accompanied by traditional instruments. Unfortunately, in her recent productions, I've noticed a departure from this authenticity, with the introduction of off-key keyboard sounds and synthesizers. This addition hasn't done justice to the legacy of Mende music. I sincerely hope that such deviations will be corrected in future works, allowing her talent to continue to flourish as it should.

The problem, I think, is the producers having too much authority over what's put on the market. Sometimes trying too hard to go with the times leads to the kind of inauthenticity that you highlighted. We can only hope...
